Coming up on 15 months since we launched @DealNav to the public.
In 15 months we have:
0 -> 135 Recurring Subscriptions
0 -> 247 Users
0 -> $6,200 MRR
$0 spent on paid marketing and super low churn rate.
Plus, July was our biggest demo month to date 🚀
It’s been such an awesome journey so far! Crazy what you can do with just your network alone.
Just gave a @DealNav demo to a value add multi guy in the PNW and this was his feedback:
“I’ve been in the industry long enough to remember REA9 and this has all the features I liked about it, but none of the BS, and a map. I’m def signing up.”
@thebuggeddev@threejs Need this for movie theatres.
I’d like to know ahead of time if my front row seat to The Odyssey IMAX 70mm is gonna break my neck.
I joke about my retired dad being our @DealNav intern but I’d like a real one.
Any college kids on here with commercial real estate AND sales experience (or just the right personality) that want to help with @DealNav biz dev?
Need a hustler that will source new leads and work the hundreds of warm ones we have in our database.
Paid a tbd hourly rate plus commission for new signups plus a bonus end of year if you impress me.
remote but located in the northeast would be cool so we could meet in person at least once
DM me!
@PatCarino@investandcreate@nicgimbal@brexHQ@DealNav I’m not sure how Brex categorizes businesses but I assume whatever they use, we are missing. The location based categorization must be some sort of fallback. I can’t imagine they use location as the main lookup.
I’ve had people tell me they don’t really see much of a difference between using VS Code versus Claude Code/Cursor.
I’ve been forcing myself to try VS Code for a while and I just can’t bring myself to enjoy the experience anymore. I really don’t know what it is.
Has anyone found an optimal target for AI usage spend per engineer per month?
I'm trying to figure out what is overkill versus not enough.
Or if spend isn’t the right metric, what is?
@icanvardar@aye_aye_kaplan Yeah I’ve enjoyed using it myself. My typical combo has a been deep planning and iteration bouncing between GPT 5.2 High and Opus 4.6 Med/High. But after that, I let Composer 2 implement and it’s been doing great.
Doing demos of some @DealNav “competitors” makes me feel so good...
Most are focused on parcel data and the CRM aspect is an afterthought and charge INSANE amounts of money (for mostly free data they are just aggregating).
The one I just demoed charges 38,000 a year for PART of my market. Which is an annoying way to price - by market not per person so for 1 person or 100 people that’s the price.
Do you want integrations? More than double for enterprise at 81,000 a year.
The margins must be so good because he ended the pitch with they will buy out any existing competitor contract and credit it to whatever pricing they quoted you. 😂
Any college students studying real estate want to help part time with DealNav biz dev?
You will:
- be paid $200+ per new member you sign
- be reaching out to & building relationships w/ developers, investors and brokers across the country (great way to fin a job!)
- spend time w/ an active multi developer (me 😏)
- learn the business / be a part of a fledgling protech start up!
Preferred experience in real estate, sales and social media.
