You’re not as abrasive as some or an idiot, but the snark just comes off as unnecessary. An appeal to something besides experience or authority would elevate the point you’re trying to make.

OH MY LORD can we not just agree that YES grocery prices have gone up in the span of a few short years and it sucks but the data - not an opinion, THE DATA - still shows young adults spend more on eating out and traveling than literally any generation before them.

My great-grandmother used to tell me how she weathered the Great Depression by scrimping and penny-pinching in ways you wouldn’t believe and I promise, if she can survive that, we can make it through this - and yes, it may involve GrubHubbing a little less.
