Alcohol is amazing.
Amazing because despite:
- It making us feel like shit
- Making us someone we’re not proud of
- Detrimental effects on our brain and body
…society still accepts and enables it. And we still love drinking it!
If you believe that #obesity, #diabetes, and #cardiovascular disease are all inter-related because they are "metabolic disorders"...
then it is time to add #mental disorders to the list of "metabolic disorders."

My entire childhood I was told I needed to think before I spoke. I'm sure other ADHD'ers can relate.
The problem is that I couldn't actually do that, and I still can't, so what I learned instead was to not speak
@hubermanlab What if you’re just holding the phone and using it for a while? Is contact through your hands harmful? Or if it’s nearby while you’re working all day? I guess the question really is how close it needs to be to be harmful.
I’ve been meditating since 2019 but I’ve never had this realization.

Thoughts are consciousness.
My perception of sounds is consciousness.
The sensations that define “my body” is consciousness.
