Friend A was telling me about Friend B. They both live in abuja. A said if he was stranded on the road at midnight because his car developed a fault, B is someone he can call, even if B doesn't have a car at that point. He said B would find a way to come pick him up. B has on a number of occasions called A to follow him pick someone up at the dead of the night. So he knows that if A can do it for these other people, he will do it for him. The problem many of you have is that you're looking for who is kind to you alone, and unkind to others. Your vetting skill is terrible.
One time I was hanging out with Friend A and Friend C. It was my first time meeting with C. I knew C through A but we were meeting in person for the first time. We went clubbing and C couldn't even club because he was high. He just laid on the club chair and slept. Myself and Friend A took his Phone, money and wallet and kept in our possession, put a cushion under his head and allowed him sleep through the noise. When we were done, we drove C home and put him to bed. When his head was clear, he confessed he hadn't experienced friendship like that and was being too appreciative. It was funny because what else were friends supposed to do when one is vulnerable? I had known A for 15 years and I would take a bullet for him. Protecting C came naturally to us because of value system.
We often talk about people recommending you for gigs or job, and mentioning your name in closed door meetings. People also recommend friendship when they find you trustworthy. People will not trust you because you ask them to. You have to make yourself trustworthy. Trust is earned. The thing about friendship is that, if you want friends, you have to first make yourself friendly. Are your friends secret safe with you? Can you give your life for them? Will you show up when they need you? Friendship is not confessional, it is sacrificial.
Placed the order at 8.05pm, order got dispatched at 9.21pm, i received at 11pm. I stopped using them months ago because of delays in delivery, only to come back yesterday and realize it now takes a pilgrimage to get from the Kitchen at Lagos Island to Osapa Lekki
It takes 3 hours to get 2 chicken crispy burger from Jazzy Burger delivered to Osapa Lekki. I paid 42,800 including 4,500 for delivery. I didn’t know that for trekking. Because that’s the only situation that will take the rider that picked up at 9.21pm to deliver at 11pm
JP Morgan has raised its estimate of Argentina’s GDP growth in the third quarter to 8.5%, one of the highest in the world.
JP Morgan is citing optimism around recent reforms by President Milei as the reason for such rapid growth.

Jamie Dimon: a gargantuan
Unrelated (and a fairly long thread): One day, I became curious about JP Morgan Chase's top status in the global financial market. You’ve got BlackRock on one side, Vanguard on another, and then there’s JP Morgan.
Just 1 minute into the video and I had to say this. You see those of you who sat on the fence, who hate this guy for reasons best known to you are foolish.
So apparently the act of sending loved ones little videos and cute pictures and funny things throughout the day is called “Pebbling” because there’s a species of penguin that likes to leave pebbles in their partners’ nests to show they care, and this is my happy thing for today
Marcus Aurelius on waking up early:
"I have to go to work—as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for—the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?"
My thinking is that grifters from both sides are amping things up to boost their status and probably make money. Things are bad but these things don't happen this way. There is usually a spontaneous trigger. I think this is all a sham.
So I actually took time to listen to the episode and tbh this trend of clickbait is absolutely disgusting. The entire episode was 46mins. The FIRST thing Toyosi said when introducing herself was that she’s a founder and CEO
I've been avoiding this conversation all day, but it needs to be addressed. You guys are out of line for going off on that woman like that. So what if she fawns over her husband? So what if she’s in awe of him and his beauty? So what? You see 40-second clips of her talking about him and draw conclusions.
Yes, we want more women praising themselves, but if that’s what she wants, who are we to judge? Hell we don’t even know if those short clips are deliberate. You're being too hard on her, and it’s wrong. Call me whatever you want, but I’ve shared my opinion.
Where will this be displayed after today?
I suggest we create a Federal Commission of Canvas Portraits to maintain and manage this world record setting portrait.
If we display it in major cities and stadiums, i think tourist will travel to Nigeria to see it, that will earn Nigeria FX to repay her Eurobond debt.
Because of huge demand to view it, i think the location of the portrait should move from State to State according to Federal Character Principal. I want Abia to host it first.
This is good thinking. so why cant we do more by printing a canvas portrait for the VP, Senate and House leadership? that way the tourist can see more and invest more
We can also threaten bandits, if they don't surrender and allow more food to come to the cities, we will not display this poster in their States. that will solve inflation as well
Lets think outside the box please
