That hand-carved door behind me is in Lamu, Kenya.
I grew up in Kenya. Finally made it back after many years.
Donkeys ruling the streets, beautiful wooden carvings at every corner.
The kind of place that hooks you even as a kid.
Lamu was just a chapter though. Nairobi was home. Red roads, greenery, matatus cutting through traffic, and heat that sits on you.
The kind of childhood you don’t fully understand until you’re older and realize: that was rare.
Asia before that. Europe after.
Three continents before I was a teenager.
What that does to you: you stop assuming the world looks like one version of itself.
You get comfortable being the outsider,
observe before you speak,
and adapt fast without making it a personality.
Turns out that’s not a bad foundation for starting something of your own.
So here we are. Deep in AI, crypto, and fintech.
Founding something in the middle of all of it.
Travel still. Gym. Food. Music always in the background.
Building in public from here.
Stick around. #livealittle
Huge news! 🤯 potentially biggest of the year
@Google just dropped TurboQuant
a compression algorithm that makes AI models 6x smaller and 8x faster!
with zero accuracy loss.
What that means: AI models need significantly less memory to run at full quality. That gap between cloud-only and local AI just got narrower.
On-device AI that is private, fast, and capable is not a distant idea anymore.
The future just got a lot closer🤘🏽
Introducing TurboQuant: Our new compression algorithm that reduces LLM key-value cache memory by at least 6x and delivers up to 8x speedup, all with zero accuracy loss, redefining AI efficiency. Read the blog to learn how it achieves these results: https://t.co/CDSQ8HpZoc
