This week, I reported on Senators Josh Hawley, R-MO, and Chris Murphy, D-CT, announced bipartisan AI legislation to hold companies liable as President Donald Trump pushes for self-regulation in the industry.

.@RepRaskin on @TheJusticeDept corruption, saying the Trump admin “has turned every facet of our laws and government into a money-making operation for the Trump family and has turned the venerable antitrust division into a pretense and a pay-to-play burlesque show."
Closing today’s conference in DC, Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, sharply criticized the Trump administration’s approach to antitrust enforcement:
“They are making a mockery of our antitrust laws and turning antitrust enforcement into another opportunity for shakedowns and kickbacks.”

Earlier this am @SenJudiciaryGOP voted to confirm @TheJusticeDept Antitrust Chief Adam Candeub. He heads to a Senate floor vote next- likely not until after the midterms. @Capitol_Forum
Scoop for @Capitol_Forum - @SenBooker wrote to @TheJusticeDept asking if Antitrust Chief nominee Adam Candeub is working on competition issues, given he’s not even been confirmed in the Senate. DOJ has said he’s been a “counselor” to @AGToddBlanche since he was nominated.

But tell me why I have come home a waterborne food illness requiring two medical appointments and antibiotics instead.
