My first experience with DOOM was indirectly through getting a clone called Chex Quest from a cereal box. I was terrified of it as a child, but coming back to play DOOM 2016 was my true introduction to the franchise.
The per-GPU cost to scalpers is much lower as they are purchasing multiple at once - to legit buyer it's effectively a $200 price increase. This actually HELPS scalpers as there are less consumers willing to pay the $200 fee, while also increasing scalping prices elsewhere.
@BestBuy@BestBuySupport I'm not sure how this new $200 / yr subscription requirement to buy a GPU is helping combat scalpers. Here's one of the MANY examples of scalpers buying 5+ GPUs at once today. This move seems to be only harming legitimate buyers...
GPU purchasing is only limited to one PER-SKU at the moment, so these scalpers can still buy multiple cards at once. Also, the $200/yr membership requirement is weeding out legit buyers who only want to purchase a GPU and not interact otherwise with the TotalTech membership.
