What wild @elonmusk is that the grid is just one big “circuit board”. Closer our batteries are to where the need is, the cleaner we get, the more efficient we get, density can be put right next to the consumer and cost of distribution goes down. It’s god damn ingenious to put batteries as “capacitors” if you will next to the consumers (aka “microchips”) and make the grid hyper efficient.

It’s stunning we haven’t done this yet…

I’ve been having a lot of conversations about this lately. Safety comes down to the RT components and should have a properly hard coded way to kill switch these. Big red button is great as long as you can touch it… but hard limits on velocity and motion (esp in a test environment) are critical. Literally had a dozen conversations this week at the Robotics summit on this very topic!
