@choffstein I like this guy. He explains some of the nuances of the forecast. The Cat 5 spaghetti is not the Monte Carlo path I want. Give me UKX1. https://t.co/rnYalfwS63
@choffstein@Avis Had that happen recently, too, though on a much shorter rental. If only you could pick the car up remotely and leave it parked there for two days.
@theficouple Not sure of your source, but this is a poor reading of data. Here's a more accurate methodology: https://t.co/vULITKJupd. Any data set that includes Palm Beach will significantly skew results. FL is a very populous state with varied regions, many of which are highly affordable.
@seandsweeney We live right by there and love going for walks in Alys at night. Not many places that have random hammocks to lie in and look at the stars.
@Nicholas_Meyers @SlowBrewFinance @HML_Compounder Most of the losses were at the beginning of Nov. I wonder if there was a big redemption that made them liquidate positions at a bad time. Even restriking protection as SPX climbed 10% and VIX went from ~20 to <13 doesn't seem like it would explain it. PFIX definitely did not help
The reason to deliberately do hard things is so that when non-self-elected challenges arrive (& they will), you can tell yourself: “I don’t know how this is all going to turn out, but I am certain I can do hard things.” Don’t self injure. But doing hard things is always worthwhile.
