@Birdyword I was always trained it’s rude to clear before everyone’s done, it pressures those still eating to hurry. Not good dining etiquette. Further decline of culture.
@BillPourquoimec My Irish father in law tells childhood stories of family weddings in NYC in the 50s-60s and how late in the evening he’d look up at the men’s starched white shirts bright red with blood down the fronts
@0_voria@phoenixwrong404 And I’d say BCS was a slow burn but it advanced the plot compellingly and I was riveted; Pluribus spent the first several episodes over-explaining the one-note main character and plot and I had to give up. And I ADORE Rhea Seehorn. She deserves better, glad she got it in BCS
@tonytost Get ready for a really fun time if you keep on with them! I’ve got quite a collection of those and read them multiple times. Incredible literature and adventure and suspense.
@SpragueFoods@AlexanderGlista The LEDs around here are so dim you can’t see at night. Tiny little wimp streetlights with a dystopian malevolence to them.
@tonytost Yes to all those, and: Supertroopers
Trading Places
Tropic Thunder
Superbad
Pineapple Express
A Fish Called Wanda
What’s New, Pussycat?
Run, Ronnie, Run
Better off Dead
Harold and Kumar (White Castle)
@poboxhwm@tonytost Oh my god Ronin is so good. I have a Boogie Nights problem where I’ve watched the first 45 minutes at least 5 times over the years and keep getting interrupted. Never finished!
