There’s also thousands of untested r*pe kits just SITTING because police refuse to test them in a timely manner. Sometimes they’re even thrown away. And if there isn’t enough evidence, the prosecution usually refuses to even charge.

@liliceberg1of1 @mattxiv Or it sounds like the main hotline doesn’t screen their operators well enough before hiring them. You know you can also call the LGBTQ+ hotline, right? Nothing’s stopping you.

@liliceberg1of1 @mattxiv We absolutely should! But until those call centers start doing that, don’t defund the ones doing an excellent job and saving lives. I think people who sign up to work with youth also tend to be more passionate about their work, but that’s just speculation.

@TrussMe96 @WhitepillPhil @hemuphobia Trains don’t have turbulence, but they also do have weather delay! Trains have to go slower when it’s cold and during poor visibility. But they can also make up speed sometimes and don’t make big announcements, so you notice less!
