@spikeyspud@spikeyspud , likewise always open for a chat. Usually awake till the early hours for similar reasons. Keep going Champ, your post often make a difference.
@stuartpykesport Have to admit watching the VAR replay , I thought to myself that they should have a Rugby league ref there to show them the finer points of ball deflection/movement and separation.
@Lucy_Worsley Here is Annie's Statue at the top of parliament square Oldham town centre. The building to the left is the old town hall where a blue plaque notes that W Churchill 1st became an MP in that building.
@suey2y@ZackPolanski Agreed, I also think that it's politically unwise. Should reform win, the greens will be accused of splitting the progressive vote.
The greens standing aside would indicate that they are open to better collaboration in the future - especially if under a PR system.
@SangitaMyska@jamie_wallis The same with Oldham, although we are part of greater Manchester most Oldhamer's would say they are from Lancashire ( or even Yorkshire up in the hill's).
Traditional county ties override current administrative regions. Rochdale and Tameside are similar.
@AngelaRayner Notice that a lot of negative replies are from blue tick accounts, who have managed to post thousands of comments 8k & 13k in less than 6 months.
It's as if posting is a full time job for some, unless they are bots.
Just an observation.
@suey2y I think this why Kier Starmer hasn't been pushed out by his back bench MPs yet. I think he will go soon after the locals. My Area Royton north(Oldham) has seen extensive canvassing by sodding Reform - nothing through the door from anyone else yet.
@francis_reader@_daveharrison Jethro Tull did a few :- One brown mouse, Moths, the mouse police never sleeps, seal diver & heavy horses
Hope you are all keeping well Fran.
@Gavoth@anon_opin There are 3 different types of Lancashire Cheese, Tasty Lancashire ( texture like cheddar), creamy Lancashire ( milder and softer) and the relative newer Crumbly ( made to compete with Cheshire and Wensleydale).
Try the tasty (vintage) or creamy, you might be surprised.
@SimonThornley1@DeborahMeaden@SuellaBraverman No they haven't, they actually forced the UK and French to stop the Suez crisis in the 50's. Personally on that occasion I think that the US was right- unlike now.

@francis_reader@AnnieAgar Hi Francis, hope you are all keeping well. Watched it for the first time, think I will stick with Rugby League and Latics ;-)
@supertanskiii@labourlewis My guess is that he will wait until after the May elections. Then it's anyone's guess, if it's up to members then it could be a greater Manchester candidate (RLB, AR, or even Jim McMahon- all close to Andy B). If up to PLP god knows who.
@MikScarlet Have a good time, hopefully the hangover won't be too savage and the pain takes a holiday. Best wishes to you and yours in 2026- keep making a difference.
