It's quite difficult to explain how good it is without sounding preachy or insane
Good marriage is a shared consciousness that verges on a shared madness. Intensely pleasant. How can you hope to convey?
@semafor is thrilled to announce the launch of our new show - CEO Signal - hosted by Penny Pritzker and @Edgecliffe! Check out our first interview with @Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol below....
I prosecuted the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, and then Donald Trump himself.
One week after he took office again, he fired me.
Now I’m running for Congress to defend our democracy and restore the rule of law.
Still baffled: why would a disinterested, disengaged, distracted @washingtonpost owner hire a seemingly disinterested, disengaged, distracted CEO, suffer perpetual criticism and $ loss? Lots of rich people would buy it, and even more execs would gladly run it. Show me a single entity anywhere at anytime doing anything that worked without strong, engaged leadership. Kinda matters. I bet @dongrahamdc1 or Kara Swisher would pull together a group to take it over. Bloomberg could easily swoop it up himself. Just sell it.
“…voters are pretty pissed. They want the basic stuff to work. It should be easier to build more affordable housing and rapid bus transit in California. Texas shouldn’t be doing more solar than us.”

This is a mostly thoughtful column on bike lanes in D.C. from @mffisher, but I have a few quibbles with some of what he writes. https://t.co/MV95ePOwBt
People are confused about the role of the next DNC chair. He/she isn’t charting a new ideological path for the party, or even pushing legislation. It’s more about raising $, rebuilding infrastructure, planning the 2028 primary + convention. Put the nominee in a position to win.
Folks! Just two more days to apply for the @loftleaders fellowship. Full time paid opportunity for public service and campaign leaders. Learn more and apply at https://t.co/6z5xFCe5bg
THANK YOU, MICHIGAN! I am so honored to be the next Senator from the great state of Michigan and to follow in the footsteps of the great @Stabenow.
This would not have happened without the hard work and support of so many: my family, our volunteers, donors, and of course — everyone who voted in this election. I promise I will do everything in my power to be the principled leader you deserve.
We now have a President-elect of the United States: Donald Trump. It is clear that he has again won the presidency in a country where we enjoy relatively unfettered rights to vote, speak out, and steer our futures. In January, we will enjoy a peaceful transfer of power. Peaceful transitions of power are a central part of American democracy that I love and work for.
I—and many others—raised alarms about the anti-democratic actions Donald Trump took during his first Presidency, and has promised to take this next time. Some of his supporters assured me that this would not be the case: Trump wouldn’t seek to punish political opponents, wouldn’t corruptly play favorites in business or foreign policy, wouldn’t actually enact a crippling, 19th-century tariff regime. On this day, and for Trump’s term, I very much hope they are right. I love America, and hope that the next four years will be our strongest yet.
What matters today is the same as what mattered last week. How do we come together to build a better future for the broad society of Americans? And the same challenges are here: how do we increase prosperity and give fair access to as many people as we can? And how do we navigate our conflicts of vision for America while we work on these challenges? My focus will be addressing these challenges by building the next generation of companies that will help our society.
I want to thank all the amazing founders and staff of the campaigns and organizations that did so much good, hard work over the past few months and years. Regardless of outcome, they are among the greatest innovators—and patriots—in the country. I appreciate your tremendous effort and character to put aside your own personal interests and work for society.
Now we get to the hard work of bridging divisions and ensuring that all Americans can enjoy safe, secure, and prosperous futures. Onward.

America, the election is almost here. Here’s what to expect when polls close:
The margins are going to be close, but our campaign is on track to win this election. Americans all across the country are casting their votes in record numbers, ready to turn the page.
It will take time to count every vote, and there may be swings in the count along the way. Donald Trump falsely claimed victory in 2020, and we expect that he will do it again. We know that he is a liar—but the ballots will tell the truth. Stay patient, and know that every vote will be counted fairly.
America’s election system is strong—and it will not be interfered with by partisan actors. Our legal operation is ready to fight to protect every vote and make sure every last one is counted. Your vote is your voice, so get out and make yours heard: https://t.co/au6egSRhU8.
Together, we are going to win this election, and chart a new way forward.
It occurs to me that @Apple would be incredibly smart to release a communication device that did not allow social media. Not a device with software lockouts via screentime, a device that actually did not allow social media apps at all. A reduced app set, somehow hard-coded into the device. There is a huge market demand for this specific product.
We simply lack the self-discipline to not install these apps. Silicon Valley has figured out our weaknesses and how to make us addicted, and companies have figured out how to use our dopamine as a pathway to taking over our personal time. By blocking this, Apple would be seen as a benevolent actor in a sea of malicious tech companies.
Call it something catchy like:
The “Emancipation From Applications”.
As parent with teenagers, I have explored this space carefully, alongside all of dozens of thoughtful parents I respect, from all walks of life. I am familiar with all of the dumb phones, and know friends with many of the hardware solutions used to make social media inconvenient.
Increasingly, I know adults who want this product for themselves. It’s no longer just about kids.
The more I think about it the more I realize this would be a genius play on many levels.
I usually don’t say this, but please retweet this if you feel the same way. I want to know if it’s just me.
2k doors being knocked PER MINUTE in PA right now! 🤯
I have never seen this happen before in my 10 GOTVs but it’s happening on the ground in Pennsylvania!
LFG! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
The Colored Girls capture the moment for so many of us and make the clear case for @KamalaHarris for President. Thanks @IamMinyon, @donnabrazile, @LeahDaughtry, @ycaraway, and Tina Flournoy. https://t.co/nG4a5If2l2
I’m going to keep beating this drum: For two months, I’ve been in the battleground states almost nonstop encouraging Republicans & Independents to vote for @KamalaHarris. And at every stop in every battleground state I hear from Republicans who tell me they’re voting for her, but they’re keeping quiet about it. I hear this everywhere I go. I just believe there’s a quiet groundswell of support for Kamala among Republicans that the polls just aren’t picking up. @RepsForHarris
