@constans Decent chance Trump does to the longshoremen union with their deferred strike what Reagan did to the ATC. Port automation will be nice, I suppose.
Harris is running a campaign on the premise that Biden would easily win re-election if he wasn't so old so he's passed the torch to her.
You may disagree with that premise but it's tiring to hear people act befuddled why she isn't distancing herself from him more.
Colbert asks: "Under a Harris administration, what would the major changes be and what would stay the same?"
Harris: "Sure. Well, I mean, I'm obviously not Joe Biden. So that would be one change. But also I think it's important to say with 28 days to go, I'm not Donald Trump."
@StatisticUrban With the modern electorate Dems aren't gonna win Presidency unless they're picking up the pieces after a Republican crisis. Then they'll lose again and the next Republican will benefit from their economy.
@StatisticUrban This isn't 1992. How do you propose they move to the right? On immigration, crime, or LGBT stuff they're not gonna br able to outflank the GOP and they'll just shed their own voters who will feel betrayed.
@ryxcommar I'm sure the US is gonna swing super far left in the coming decades when the number of climate migrants trying to cross the border increses by several magnitudes and the cost of everything goes up as climate chaos messes up one supply chain after another.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, as a guy who thinks picking up calls from random numbers should be against the law, but if you voted in Nevada, pick up your phone!
@JeffSharlet Imagine genuinely believing your country has been taken over by people you genuinely think are fascists who already stole one election and might be about to steal another. Is your reaction to that going to be "We gotta all vote so we outnumber their fake ballots!" ?
@JeffSharlet Few of them actually believe 2020 was stolen or that 2024 will be stolen. They just don't like the outcome when they don't win. If they truly believed it they'd be doing more than complaining online or taking selfies in the capitol then going home.
@NormOrnstein There's not a single person that will be moved by a W endorsement today.
I think there would be some value if Harris wins for him to congratulate her and affirm the election was legitimate. That would actually have more value if he doesn't endorse her.
@ettingermentum Look what happened to Corbyn. If Bernie was the candidate he would have been vilified non-stop. If he won there would have been a huge effort to sabotage his presidency. You're not going to get the kind of change he promised just by electing one guy to the highest office.
