Good evening (morning), everyone! Here's my official Winter Storm #Gail Snowfall Accumulation Forecast! This was a VERY difficult forecast - I will advise caution on using any exact number from this map. With that tidbit out of the way, here's some analysis (thread attached):

Finally, this map runs through FRIDAY morning... why is this important? Cold, northwesterly air funneling in behind Gail will trigger some lake-effect snow showers all across the region, easily providing another coating to inch-and-a-half of accumulation in the area.

The 00Z #snowfall forecast model runs for #WinterStormGail
Notice the "nose" of warm air somewhere over central WV that will severely limit accumulations in that area... There will be a tight gradient in snowfall on both sides - a tough forecast!
