Subject: Urgent complaint regarding debris dumping, obstruction and potential damage to public infrastructure at Balewadi–Wakad Bridge

Respected Sir/Madam,

The Balewadi–Wakad bridge and its approach road are of significant public importance, providing connectivity between the Balewadi and Wakad areas and serving thousands of daily commuters.

The land required for the approach road is presently the subject of land-acquisition proceedings. In its order dated 25 February 2026 in Writ Petition No. 14998 of 2023, the Hon’ble Bombay High Court directed the Pune Municipal Corporation, the State through the Collector and the concerned Land Acquisition Officer to immediately initiate acquisition proceedings and complete the process at the earliest and, in any case, within one year from the date of the order.

The Hon’ble Court also specifically kept open the landowner’s claims regarding compensation and the alleged use of land for bridge pillars, including the claim for rental compensation.

However, any dispute relating to land acquisition or compensation is required to be resolved through the due legal and statutory process. It should not result in obstruction, dumping of debris, damage to the bridge or any other public infrastructure, or creation of a safety hazard for citizens.

It has been brought to our notice that debris/material is being dumped in or around the bridge/approach-road area, potentially obstructing access and creating a serious public-safety concern.

We therefore request the concerned authorities to urgently:

Inspect the bridge and approach-road area immediately and record the present condition.
Identify the source/persons/vehicles responsible for any unauthorised dumping, if established.
Stop any further dumping or obstruction and take appropriate action under applicable law.
Remove any illegally dumped debris/material where legally permissible and ensure safe public access.
Examine whether any portion of the bridge, approach road, pillars or other public infrastructure has been damaged or deliberately obstructed, and take appropriate action if any offence or violation is found.
Ensure that no individual takes law into their own hands on account of the pending land-acquisition or compensation dispute.
At the same time, ensure that the landowner’s legitimate claims regarding fair and lawful compensation are dealt with expeditiously through the statutory acquisition process.
Provide an update on the status of the acquisition proceedings and the steps being taken to comply with the Hon’ble High Court’s direction.

We respectfully submit that compensation disputes and public infrastructure/safety issues should be dealt with separately. Citizens should not be made to suffer because of a pending land-acquisition dispute.

We request your immediate intervention in the interest of public safety, uninterrupted connectivity and compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court.

🚨For the past 6 months, Lazio fans have been boycotting the stadium as part of their ongoing protest against Claudio Lotito’s 22 years in charge as owner of the club.

Over 90% of their season ticket holders refused to renew and none of the real fans want to buy tickets and merchandise from the club as long as Claudio Lotito is the owner.

Unless United fans actually pull off something like this, absolutely nothing is ever going to change with our ownership under the Glazers & INEOS.

Fans are a massive part of the problem here. You lot cannot keep moaning at the start of every single season, only to turn around and keep buying the new kits, paying a fortune for your season tickets, and filling Old Trafford to the brim week in, week out. It is completely hypocritical.

The Glazers do not care about your social media hashtags or your green and gold scarves if they are still laughing all the way to the bank. If you genuinely want to change something, we have to completely boycott everything until they are forced to sell the club to an ambitious owner who actually gives a toss about football.

United has lost over £1 billion since those parasites took over, purely down to servicing their debt interest payments and paying themselves massive dividends. Just let that sink in.

Imagine that money actually being invested back into the club into the squad, into the academy, and fixing our stadium. We would never, ever be in this pathetic position. The biggest club in the world is being used as a personal cash cow for the Glazers, and it's completely unacceptable.

Empty the stadium, stop buying the merchandise, and hit them where it hurts. It’s the only language they understand.
