@Muneeb_soanth and I write for @Himalistan that India and China's engagement in #Afghanistan is becoming a geopolitical competition for influence and regional primacy, forcing New Delhi to calibrate its Afghan policy.

Argentina v Cape Verde is the only World Cup Round of 32 match where both teams’ geography helped shape mankind's thinking about evolution.
Charles Darwin studied volcanic rocks and marine shells in Cape Verde, helping him grasp how Earth changes over the eons. In Argentina, he collected fossils of extinct mammals and compared them with living ones, giving him evidence that life itself had changed over time.

This is after all that has happened, and Modi has been personally monitoring it, as the SC was told. The collapse of governance under this regime is shocking.
Spain v Cape Verde is the World Cup’s only group-stage match where both countries’ highest points are volcanoes in Macaronesia.
Spain tops out at Mount Teide in Tenerife. Cape Verde tops out at Pico do Fogo on Fogo.

The withdrawal of Joe Sacco's book on the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots from Indian markets must be condemned. Unfortunately, films, articles and any discussion on Muzaffarnagar in the past were under attack too.
I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, encouragement, and kind messages I have received from people around the world. Your solidarity has reminded me that football unites us beyond borders. Thank you to everyone.
NEW: We’re launching the Trump World Cup Chaos Tracker to compile a record of how Trump’s racist, violent policies - coupled with FIFA’s corruption - are impacting this tournament.

🚨 BREAKING! 🤯
The Haiti National Team will have to change its uniform for the World Cup. 🇭🇹
FIFA has asked Saeta, the company responsible for the uniform's design, to alter it due to potential political messages. 👕

Iranian Football Federation announces the 8% ticket quota allocated to Iran has been revoked by the U.S., leaving the federation currently unable to distribute tickets to supporters.
A case study in political interference, discrimination and FIFA looking the other way.

Umar Khalid, one of the most prominent faces of the anti-CAA movement, returned to Tihar Jail on Wednesday after the expiry of a three-day interim bail granted by the Delhi High Court from June 1 to June 3 to allow him to be with his mother during her surgery.
Khalid has remained incarcerated since September 2020 under the UAPA in the Delhi violence conspiracy case, except for brief periods of interim bail granted on specific occasions.
Photographs of Khalid taken during his temporary release were widely shared on social media on Wednesday. In the images, he is seen wearing a T-shirt bearing the message: “You can cage the singer, but not the song.”

If you are privileged enough in Delhi, then chances are the name Saidulajab means the Garden of Five Senses to you. 6 people were crushed to death in Saidulajab on Sunday. There was nothing wrong with the so-called “five senses” of the deceased.

Data chor, that's what the govt is but they say only "data harmonising". NFHS-6 (India's largest household survey) data sheets have many missing themes compared to NFHS-5. We are left clueless about issues like sex ratio at birth, access to sanitation and so on. Whitewashing?
India's capital account shrank sharply in 2025-26, more because outflows increased than because inflows shrank. This was driven by payments made in advance for imports and an increase in funds parked abroad. Of course, the FPI outflows added to all of this.
"Perhaps someday soon we will find ourselves adding poetry to the list of those killed by the complicity of Western institutions. If Arabic poetry is dying in English, it is because Arabic poetry without Palestine cannot exist."
