@CoachRoseIvey@ralulla Kind of alarming what Rhules track records have been with defense before NU but since he’s been here, his best players on that side of the call have been Frost recruits
@__kadan__ Until they fix NIL, it’s not going to get any better. NCAA is a joke. Now a dude like this that can’t cut it in the pros can go get paid more than he ever would even if he got drafted. I’m sure he’s not super interested in playing college ball
@HuskersMN He has like a quiet fire. I thought that before he even got here when DR committed. He got asked if that made him rethink his commitment and he said something to the effect that he was going to come in and try to win the job and he didnt care who he had to try to win it over
@swmckewonOWH Had his ups and downs but I’ll never knock the dudes effort. I feel this might have been NE suggesting he head elsewhere - they want to get their up and comers in the secondary out on the field
@MikelSevere@CoachJoeGanz Calling me out straight to the man 🫣 - but he was right in that stat line you’re talking about! 258 yards rushing in ‘08 and 5 rushing TDs
I was in middle school but you’re an all timer for me @CoachJoeGanz . You were the starter at the first game I ever attended
@MikelSevere Exactly. Ganz keeps coming to mind. He was a great athlete - was throw first but was dangerous enough with his feet that he had to be respected and he could take the occasional QB run call or a zone read keeper type of play
@ralulla@damonbenning@hahn1178@MikeKleinschmit@FFStoll@HurrdatSports I wouldn’t call Ganz dual threat specifically but was a great athlete and there was enough there that you had to redirect his scramble ability - 5th all time in Nebraska passing yards so he could sling it, but he made it happen with his feet when it was needed
@__kadan__ Said the same since day 1. What do you mean you don’t get any benefits? All us other plebs have to pay a metric crap load of money for a degree. You get it for free, plus all your clothing supplied, plus you eat a Michelin star restaurant everyday. You’re living like the 1%
@savingcultur He played so well in that Illinois game. I remember looking at my brother and saying we’ve never had a QB that could make some of theses throws, after that, trans got his tendencies - great against zone, struggled against aggressive man. Thought that would improve but it didn’t
@mjdemarinis Today showed the team will follow those two guys. Ty should improve with minutes and Dix is just all around solid
Give minutes to TD, JD, JG, IT, FZ, and AS. The other guys will either start playing to the standard b/c they’re tired of the bench or they’ll fall to the wayside
@CreighTakes They don’t have a leader. Plain and simple, there’s no unifying force.
CU has had 1 or 2 great leaders on all their teams the past decade or so. This team doesn’t.
Portal era ur going to swing and miss sometimes when you basically have to recruit and lock a guy down in 2-3 day
@SteveOnSpeed What vehicle isn’t anymore? If you’ve got more than 3 kids hard to find a big enough vehicle that’s reasonable. Obviously there’s smart and responsible ways to do that, but just watching new vehicle prices is wild ⬆️⬆️⬆️
@MikelSevere I think if we had more skill - I liken the defenses I watched yesterday to Rhules defense the first year. Fast, aggressive, and sure tackling.
Great point on the QBs -if DR stays, needs to be a big area of improvement for him. To win big games, have to take and make big plays
