For years, untreated construction and demolition waste from the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag Railway Project has been freely flowing into the holy Ganga near Jonk, Rishikesh. The river that once ran clear is now turning grey, muddy, and lifeless — polluted beyond damage.

Key argument is - Indian equity does not have a bright future.

Personally, I think it is an exercise in futility in trying to predict what would happen - good or bad. Unfortunately, people spend way too much time doing exactly that.

The only way to build a portfolio is to think of the long term. No so long that we are all dead but yeah think in decades and not in years or months.

In such a scenario, you will need a whole different set of assets which can do well. Some will. Some won't.

Gold is an option.
So is real estate.
International equity is the flavour of the season.

If you get your assets allocation right, asset selection (such as SMID that Anurag is arguing against) won't matter much.

And till that happens - please try and understand what Anurag is saying.

CA never showed up. Call died halfway. Support couldn't even locate the CA.

16 minutes wasted, plus prep time, for nothing.

Chat support is mostly AI with zero real help. No one from the support team even bothered to follow up after.

Raised a ticket. Given how poorly this is managed, not holding my breath.

Paying money in India doesn't guarantee service. Customer isn't the boss here — more like at the mercy of the vendor.

Untreated sewage is being willfully bypassed directly into the sacred Ganga from STPs in Rishikesh (Swargashram 3.0 MLD & Tapovan 3.5 MLD)!The O&M contractor himself admitted to discharging raw sewage without treatment — as exposed in the CAG Report.Yet, the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board (UKPCB) continues to report these plants as “COMPLIANT”!No strict legal action, no accountability.
