Hmm… maybe the “titles”/“label” are all wrong. If you really think about it. I am a “melanated American” who has never been to Africa.

So technically “Black Americans” who are actually shades brown in color are “Americans”/“Melanated American”

Black American is an interesting label to me. Black is a color. Americans are citizens born in America. Something is off to me.
