My take on ai for motion designers.
On a recent project with a big cosmetics brand we worked the old-school 3D way: iterations, feedback loops, a lot of delivery formats.
1. Achieving super sharp, precise look right now is only possible with 3D rendering. Especially for prints.
2. Maintaining consistency across the entire product campaign is difficult with AI; even for 3D, it's not an easy task.
3. AI a very good tool for iterating on existing assets. Add some secondary movement. Test different environments. But it's still not the final delivery asset

Height Blend in OpenCL Houdini
This node allows you to blend 2 different heightmaps based on the height using maximum operation and also give you a mask that can be used in further shading.
