@RevRichardColes There is a lovely little pies wagtail that likes to ride the @windermereferry They leave him a dish of bird seed & named him Captain Waggy!
@UKHospKate The money is needed prior to reopening to allow businesses to properly prepare and give us all a fighting chance. Not after reopening! Otherwise why is it called a restart grant?
@UKHospKate@SouthLakelandDC website says they were told by govt they wouldnโt get money till at least 19th April. We all need to do a new application form which they are designing. Why?! They have all our details. Form will be online from 19th. Not good enough.
If this is the roadmap it suggests hospitality will be closed for months to come - well beyond point over 50s are vaccinated. If this is the case additional support, not just maintenance of existing measures essential
@RishiSunak@GordonRamsay@GordonRamsay reacted by sacking a tonne of staff and leaving them unable to access furlough etc right before the scheme launched.
@McMoop @dardisp He is absolutely right. With the most vulnerable now vaccinated, what is the problem now? Goalposts being moved constantly. @seatat_thetable@UKHospKate
@SouthLakelandDC When will December be paid? And the newer grant is marked as โIn Developmentโ- please give businesses a timeline so that we know what to expect, and when. @UKHospKate@timfarron
@SouthLakelandDC We are still waiting for grant from December. Itโs now 19th Jan. Other councils have made payments- most of Yorkshire for example. When will these be paid?
@UKHospKate Nothing from @SouthLakelandDC & still waiting for last month too. They only got their system up & running this week despite having one of the highest densities of hospitality businesses in the country.
