We are excited to announce the launch of the first Biology of Vector-borne Diseases (BVBD) Online Course organized by the Institute for Health in the Human Ecosystem - University of Idaho. This course is scheduled from March 30 to May 8, 2026 @ui_IHHE
It's also found in the saliva of some ticks. When a tick bites, it can transfer alpha-gal from its saliva into a person’s blood. AGS symptoms can include mild to severe allergic reactions about 2-6 hours after a person consumes an alpha-gal containing product.
