Exactly one year ago, I became a doctor 👩🏽‍🎓
The defense was 100% online. As a first gen student raised by Cambodian refugees, my only regret is that my "two worlds" never met. Still, this was the most rewarding moment of my PhD !

Ma consommation de gaz est 4x moins élevée que prévue par vos estimations, pourtant ma mensualité est passée de 106€ à 550€ par mois en prévision d'une potentielle facture de régularisation de 1500€ en février.

Shout out to @ClaRamonLozano who is starting the writing phase of her thesis ! It can feel overwhelming at the beginning, but personally I enjoyed stopping the experiments and seeing the manuscrit take shape little by little, keeping in mind progress over perfection !

Love this idea, even beyond the PhD!
Since January, I've started noting down what I am proud of at the end of every month. This can be as silly as having tried a new recipe. It's a very good way to keep track of progress and wire our brain to see small wins 💥

One year after, I am still figuring out what I want to do with my life... but I know it will revolve around sharing what I have learned until now as a scientist, personal development and outreach to underrepresented communities 🌱
