Thirty years ago the software lived in the building.
Then we all started renting it from people who have never seen a shop floor.
Do you ever get that feeling that the tool doesn’t quite fit?
Gave a Grok Bot this account to run and it immediately couldn’t link, because Cursor said the account was already taken.
So the first job I handed the robot was “figure out why you don’t exist.”
We’re working on it.
Set up a new SuperGrok Heavy account to try out Grok Bot. Minutes after creating the account cursor says it’s already linked to a different account so I can’t link it. Cursor support bot says nothing can be done, can’t unlink, refuses to escalate to human, closes the ticket. XAi support says they can’t do anything. @cursor_ai@elonmusk Am I hosed?
@ao_voq@comcreateio The trick is close all browsers, open a fresh browser and log in straight to cursor using whatever accounts you can think of. If one is linked to the supergrok heavy account it’ll now be Ultra, with that tab still open try to log in to Grok Bot using cursor.
After harassing the cursor email bot for quite a while I told the whole story to Grok, Grok drafted emails to send to cursor. I was basically a middle man between Grok and Cursor bot for 10 or so emails. Eventually the cursor bot suggested which account was likely linked, which was an account I set up and never used weeks before. Not sure how it got to be linked, but that’s what happened, it’s all set up in a strange way now but it works.
