Chill. The state's manufacturing might puts the state on an Autopilot mode. There are so many issues affecting Chennai.

There are only a million IT jobs here compared to 3.5 million in Bglore. Cities like Pune and Hyderabad have surged ahead of Chennai in IT products and startup jobs. High end jobs aren't getting generated in Chennai any longer. 80% of my school and college mates are working in Bglore and Hyderabad in IT because such jobs aren't available here.

Take our own MF industry. Login to AMFI. See the AUM in Bglore and Pune. Way ahead of Chennai. It was the other way round twenty years back. Shows the level of new wealth generated in these cities.

And go to real estate sales and registration data. Chennai lags behind even Kolkata. Pune and Bglore sell 3 to 4 x apartments a year compared to Chennai. Reflects the nature and number of jobs generated.

Omni buses heading to Bglore from our mofussil towns are increasing day by day.

Please do a honest introspection. Don't live in denial mode.

I am big fan of Tamil and TN . I set up my business in Chennai choosing ahead of Bglore because I wanted my state to get the credit for GST I generate and create jobs here.

We might rock in manufacturing but left behind in services. Honestly acknowledge that.

When DMK introduced IT policy, established an IT corridor, TIDEL park 2 decades back and made Chennai 2nd largest IT exporter, only behind Bangalore, the BJP ecosystem spread false narratives around the 2G scam and create false anti-incumbency and brought a change in Government.

Chennai slipped to 4th in IT exports post 2011-21 behind BLR, HYD and NCR.

DMK came back to power in 2021 and delivered,
- Double Digit GSDP
- No 1 in Foreign Tourism
- No 1 in School Infra
- No 1 in Agri Growth

Dropping Parandur is not Change. It's an irreversible setback for Tamil Nadu's growth

The announcement made today by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to drop the Parandur International Airport project will set the State’s development back by several years. Tamil Nadu’s interests cannot be mortgaged for petty political considerations.

An announcement of such far-reaching importance being made under Rule No. 110, shutting out any opportunity for debate or even for members to voice their views, is deeply troubling.

Tamil Nadu leads the country across sectors, from electronics exports to automobiles. A world-class airport in its capital is not merely desirable, but absolutely essential. Rejecting such a vital project is not change. It is a massive disappointment.

The site was carefully selected after evaluating all available alternatives, and the land acquisition process has been almost completed. With several stages of preparatory work and approvals already completed, we had drawn up plans to ensure that construction could begin at a rapid pace once we returned to office. If the new government now starts all over again, identifies another location and goes through the entire process before work can even begin, Tamil Nadu’s growth trajectory itself will DROP.

Under the #DravidianModel government, Tamil Nadu became the first port of call for investors. This decision threatens to push the State to the bottom of the table. The Chief Minister’s announcement is nothing short of a jackpot for competing States!

Without industrial growth, economic targets of one trillion USD or 1.5 trillion USD are simply impossible to achieve. Taken without foresight, planning or consultation, this decision by the TVK government is a devastating blow to the employment dreams of Tamil Nadu’s youth.

சாத்தியமுள்ள அனைத்து மாற்று இடங்களையும் கவனமாகப் பரிசீலித்த பின்புதான் பரந்தூர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டது. நிலம் கையகப்படுத்தலும் நிறைவடையும் தறுவாயில் உள்ளது. பலகட்டப் பணிகள், ஒப்புதல்கள் நிறைவடைந்த நிலையில் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்ததும் கட்டுமானம் விரைந்து தொடங்கப்பட பல திட்டங்களை நாங்கள் வைத்திருந்தோம். தற்போது அமைந்துள்ள புதிய அரசு மீண்டும் வேறு இடத்தைத் தேர்வு செய்து பணிகள் தொடங்குமுன், தமிழ்நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சியே மொத்தமாக DROP ஆகிவிடும்.
