@barbarismcrit I mean, the whole time I've just been thinking, really? This guy? This guy is the best they can get? They can't find a single relatively normal, non-problematic leftist to run? I guess it seems like no surprise to hear and tracks with what we know about him
@Brocklesnitch Hard to believe a dog wouldn't have the sense to come back inside through the doggy door if he was too hot. I'm guessing they forgot and locked him outside or worse, in the car. Would track with their history of being such a lovely person
@chiweethedog The guy at the grocery store straight up lied about what the petition was for, then got mad when I wanted to read the text before blindly signing it. He was even dressed up like a stoner and wearing a grill. Ended up yelling at him.
@soncharm What's annoying is that I don't know where the guy is going, there's nothing indicating a reverse park. I see a guy pulling into a parking spot, great, moving on, I'm continuing walking or driving along my way, now there is a car reversing into me.
@kurtsteiss@LouisPunished I'm just surprised people are hotly debating what some rich guy imagines people spend on lunch, as if it has some sort of basis in fact
@denimneverdies Why do we have this attitude that we have to accept that life can only get harder and worse. Getting fast food used to be normal, now it's an outrageous extravagance. We used to imagine the future as better than the present. All the collective sacrifice, for what?
@burkehenryt Sure, dems could move further to the right to win over the maybe 10 undecided voters. Or they could try to win over the 50% that doesn't vote by offering policies that meaningfully improve people's lives. I guess they could do that if they weren't all paid off
@tlgrubb29@HillcrestCardCo What is this, 1992? Like a cell phone is a luxury, lol. Bought my phone for $100 and pay $30/month for service. Rent on a studio apartment is $3500/month. I know people living in public housing in a 3rd world country, they also have cell phones
@greenest_frog @NeoVoxum @chilledspectre I mean I guess why wouldn't they know about social media if they know how to imitate the voices of your loved ones π€·ββοΈ
@WolandtheArtist@julia_doubleday Yeah, I try to avoid anything that takes button batteries now, I don't want to risk my pets coming across it. Totally horrific
@ana_safavi@julia_doubleday It is so infuriating especially when it involves visible and measurable physical symptoms. I get the sense doctors don't want to be bothered with anything that isn't an easy and obvious diagnosis
@uncorped@julia_doubleday Yeah, this is about a week out of date for anyone paying attention. This strain of Andes virus is airborne with human to human contagion after even brief contact. Advocating appropriate and informed response isn't panic.
@outbreakupdates "Mildly" positive and possibly asymptomatic. Interesting too that in a different outbreak, patient 0 only tested positive 24 days after symptom onset

@HillcrestCardCo Or, you start getting a mild fever in the evening. Are people going to call out sick from work or school, or are they just going to take some cold medicine and try to power through the day?
@zzzebbraa@RogerSeheult It is wild that people make intense efforts and end up successfully preventing the spread of a disease, and the takeaway is "see? There was nothing to worry about, it just naturally stops spreading on its own, there's no need to do anything"
