When you see job adverts in top places like NNPC, NMDPRA, NUPRC, NRS, CBN, etc., give it your best. Apply without hesitation. Try very well to pass the test. Prepare meticulously for the interview(s).
No matter how bad the nation looks, there are still people with conscience across different MDAs who give merit a chance. People still get jobs on merit in Nigeria.
I know those who got into NNPC on merit. Some are here, and they can testify. Recently, I know someone who got into SEC on merit. I know those who got into NRS on merit. Don’t let those who have lost all hope(s) to discourage you. We all have different trajectories in life.
So, this is one of the most detailed videos of the Lagos Blue Line phase 2.
It’s quite lengthy, but I encourage you to watch it till the end.
The prioritisation of Rail transportation by the Sanwo-Olu-led administration is beautiful to see.
This particular corridor is a major international trading corridor, with many Nigerian and Asian traders operating along it.
Even the road you see is expected to be transformed into a 10-lane superhighway, which the governor has already hinted at.
That is why some areas, including sections occupied by traders, are being cleared.
The Blue Line runs from Marina to Okokomaiko.
The first phase is already operational, while work on the second phase is ongoing.
The extension will serve stations at Mile 2, Festac, Alakija, Volkswagen, Alaba International Market, Trade Fair, LASU and Okokomaiko.
These stations will serve traders, 9-to-5 workers, small businesses, visitors and residents along the corridor.
The line covers LG areas including Amuwo-Odofin, Ojo, Oriade and Orile Iganmu, among others.
Many people living along this corridor commute daily to work on the Island, while others depend on the major markets along the route.
I really commend the government for this multi-billion-dollar investment in rail transportation. However, rail does not replace road infrastructure.
The next administration must make road rehabilitation a major priority.
In the first four years, there should be a determined effort to get Lagos roads into best conditions.
Why? Because many rail users are 9-to-5 workers, small business owners and visitors, but major investors, CEOs and top executives will still drive.
When you bring investors into a city, the roads, environment, landscaping, greenery, public spaces and overall appearance all matter.
The Green Line is another example.
Its Phase 1A will have about eight stations, with flyovers and pedestrian infrastructure helping to separate road traffic and pedestrian movement from the rail corridor totally 8 U shaped Flyovers and Pedestrian sky walks.
The more quality road infrastructure we have, the better the quality of life in Lagos.
This is why the next administration should prioritise roads, bridges, public transportation, cleanliness, beautification and public spaces together.
Ensure the BRT works properly, ensure the trains run efficiently, but please don't neglect the environment.
Sometimes Govt wonder why Lagosians don't appreciate government projects despite the huge investments being made.
The answer is simple: people judge government by how their quality of life changes in real time.
Lagos has a massive population and serious congestion problems. Every new road, bridge, flyover, public space or environmental improvement directly affects millions of people.
Every government must study its environment and understand what its people actually need.
In Lagos, road infrastructure is not a luxury,it is one of our biggest needs.
So I want to encourage the government to start flagging off more road projects urgently, continue the bridges that have already started, and find ways to fund and complete them quickly eg the VGC Bridge.
If we can combine the Green Line, Blue Line, Red Line, BRT, new roads, bridges, flyovers and a cleaner, better-maintained environment, the quality of life in Lagos will skyrocket.
This government is doing a lot. Let’s get the remaining basics right too.
God bless our government, and God bless the good people of Lagos. 🙏🏾🇳🇬

EXCERPTS FROM THE LAST LAMATA/MOFI/AFDB/STAKEHOLDERS MEETING:
So, as the demolition and construction of the Green Line are about to start, I just thought to bring you some important information about the Green Line, so you know what to expect.
For now, construction will start from the Iconic Ozumba Mbadiwe Station, down to the Sangotedo Station, which will be the first depot. (Phase IA)
The government is doing this so that they can start operations as soon as possible, before the Current governor leaves office in 2027.
The project would be ready by then so that people can start using it for commuting to work and other activities.
Please take note that the section from Marina to Ozumba Mbadiwe will not be constructed yet because it crosses a water body.
The piling and other engineering works involved will not be cheap.
So, the government is trying to start with the cheaper section, which is the one that runs on land, so people can start using it as soon as possible.
The idea is that the government can begin generating revenue from the operational section and eventually invest in the more expensive section.
Lagos is about 70% water, and this is one of the challenges with building bridges and other major infrastructure across the city because of the additional cost involved.
So, it is understandable.
After this video, I’ll take you to the construction of the airport terminal Metro Station.
Later, I’ll also shed more light on Lekki Deep Sea Port Phase 2, which is a $240 million expansion project about to commence.
The government is seriously investing in major infrastructure, which is great and will keep the city’s economy bubbling.
Very soon, they will also start the New Lekki Intl Airport and Badagry Seaport projects.
I believe those are planned for next year, and the plans are already in place.
I’ll keep you updated, by God’s grace.
However, I still want to appeal to the government to please look into the smaller things as well, things like our existing road networks, public spaces and the general environment.
I know the government is working on them, but I’m simply encouraging them to do more.
While these big, capital-intensive projects are beautiful, the smaller things are also very important because they are what people experience every day.
These are the things that can create the wrong impression about the government.
Our government is so unbeatable, but they have to put more effort into the small things as well.
If they can work on those areas, honestly, they would literally be the best thing after jollof rice! 🇳🇬❤️

I'm sorry I came in about 15 minutes late because I was stuck in traffic at Onitsha. Today is a Monday, and to have traffic at Onitsha on a Monday, the Monday sit-at-home is over.

Got home and couldn’t even enter my own house because the battery on my smart door died. Now I’m outside looking for a power bank to charge my front door. What type of innovation is this? 😭 What if I was being chased by unknown gunmen?
People get mind o. Someone scammed bandits in Katsina by agreeing to procure and supply high grade weapons worth N95million.
The guy don japa with the money and now they are looking for him like mad😂😂😂.
LAMATA is one arm of government I am really rooting for.
They are working on a lot of things, and I can't wait to see them completed.
The Green Line will be a game changer, and I strongly encourage LAMATA to build proper BRT bays at both the Domestic and International Airports alongside the Metro station being developed there.
Integrating the different modes of transport will generate insane revenue.
Honestly, there is so much money to be made in Lagos if the government is focused.
Inefficiencies are costing the government billions every month. Lagos generated around ₦1.6 trillion between January and June, which is impressive, but it is still relatively low considering the millions of legitimate ways the government can generate more revenue by simply running things properly.
Things like Functional transport services, waste management and recycling, enforcement of fines, Creating beautiful environments that can shoot up building approvals, you name it.
One thing I have noticed is that our governors get carried away with unnecessary legacy projects.
They end up taking loans to finance projects that may not be the most urgent priorities, leaving the state with expensive debt servicing, especially with the exchange rate putting additional pressure on government finances.
What Lagos needs is a governor willing to prioritise the city itself.
Focus on rehabilitating our roads, improving public spaces, urban beautification, sanitation, proper waste bins, and ensuring that local governments fix inner roads.
LAWMA should also be empowered to work with Just one competent private company that can handle waste management, to properly manage sanitation across the state, These Multiple but incompetent PSP operators is just a waste of everyone's time.
These are the things that matter to residents.
These are the things that will make people remember and celebrate a governor years after they leave office.
Spend that "legacy projects money" fixing Lagos.
No legacy project will be greater than taking Lagos from being among the global worst cities to live in to becoming one of the world's top 100 cities.
Fashola showed that it is possible. Another governor can do it too even far better than he did.
Aside from completing the Green Line, pending Blue Line extensions, Badagry Seaport, VGC Bridge, and Fourth Mainland Bridge, we don't need to keep chasing unnecessary mega-projects.
Give residents and businesses a comfortable city.
Investors need good roads to drive on, reliable infrastructure, and a clean, attractive environment to operate.
Any governor who genuinely improves the quality of life in Lagos will be remembered and celebrated.
This is home to some of Nigeria's biggest stars, businesses, entrepreneurs and global figures. Lagos is one of Africa's most important cities and a major gateway to Nigeria.
A governor who focuses on how the city looks, feels and functions every day would attract far more enormous international admiration, tourism, investment and economic activity.
Instead of pursuing invisible legacy projects while roads and the environment deteriorate, focus on what residents and visitors experience every single day.
Lagos has suffered significant setbacks in road quality, maintenance and environmental management over the past two years.
A governor who dedicates the next administration to rehabilitating the road network, restoring public spaces, improving sanitation and transforming the city's appearance could do more for Lagos, and potentially generate far more revenue, than another round of unnecessary legacy projects.

Just know that fewer than 5% of Nigerians earn ₦400,000 or more monthly.
So if you are within this bracket, you are in a middle class in Nigeria economy eco system.
This man relocated to the US and left his entire house in the care of a caretaker.
He instructed him to collect just ₦700,000 rent per flat every year because he wasn't after the money.
He also paid the caretaker ₦300,000 every month to manage the property.
But the caretaker felt that the landlord had no idea how much rents had increased in that area.
So, because similar apartments in the area were already going for around ₦3 million, he started collecting ₦2 million per flat and pocketing the "profit."
One day, the landlord unexpectedly returned to Nigeria for a family event and decided to stop by the property to greet his tenants.
One of them happily thanked him for refusing to charge ₦3 million like every other landlord in the area.
The old man froze.
That was how he discovered his tenants had been paying more than the ₦700,000 he approved.
The caretaker was never seen again.
One thing that people do not understand about Nigeria is that most cities are physically very small. Almost everything in Uyo is 30 minutes from everything else. Apart from Lagos and Abuja, any business must not be built on the assumption that it is expensive for people to just go there by themselves.
NEW REPORT: Shell must answer for decades of pollution in the Niger Delta after internal company documents revealed broken rules, failing infrastructure and unresolved clean-up costs that risk leaving affected communities to pay the price, a coalition of human rights and environmental organisations, including Amnesty International, said today in a new report:
