Why can't each platform have a portable ramp & transit wheelchair to board the train.
Why no shift based support persons to assist wheelchair users on / off their coach?
IF this service is not yet free, what's standard rate?
Dear @SmitaSabharwal ji, yes, there are many surgeons with disabilities even in India 🇮🇳. In fields like urology, gastro surgery, and plastic surgery.
So, when you next see a person with disability, presume COMPETENCE!!
A 28-year-old scientist, suffering from muscular dystrophy, who cracked the Civil Services Examination on four occasions has moved CAT after DoPT declined to allocate any service to him. Wheelchair bound since the age of 12, Kartik Kansal taught himself to write despite weakened muscles. In 2021, he secured 271 rank. Mr. Kansal cracked the coveted examinations in 2019, 2022 and 2023 as well, securing the rank of 813, 784 and 829 rank respectively. The CAT is expected to hear the petition in August.
