@SenWarren You’re a fiscally minded individual, if the Colbert Show was losing millions, wouldn’t cancellation be a prudent thing to do. Or are you just relying on pure coincidence alone?
@amyklobuchar It would be advisable to get all the facts BEFORE you make a public statement that will ultimately prove you wrong. You’re an embarrassment
@GuntherEagleman Being a South Carolinian, the other choice was not a good option at the time, the loser of that race went on to become the Chairman of the Democratic Party under Joe Biden. However, we’ve learned the lesson, and hope for better options for 2026.
DOGE is making our elected “representatives” look really bad.
We know Democrats are corrupt, but where was our GOP leadership while we were getting robbed?
DOGE keeps putting common sense on trial.
Why?
Because it pits common sense vs the justification for errors of this scale.
There are only a few root causes of what they are uncovering:
1) Technical incompetence - critical systems should be maintained for accuracy. The reason they are not - especially something as important as this is because the maintenance is farmed out in huge contracts to third parties who are technically incompetent.
2) Logical illiteracy - when building products, most of us would demand both detailed PRDs and detailed QA so edge cases are handled logically. The fact that this cruft builds up speaks to no oversight and logical illiteracy.
3) Nefarious fraud - if it’s not technical incompetence or logical illiteracy, then it’s fraud. Plain and simple.
Who support these three justifications as reasonable?
