Meiteis are not concerned about prayers. If Meiteis are much concern about prayers, they could pray in Imphal and valley areas too since lots of Temples including sanamahi idols are installed in the premises of every Meitei devotees.

They merely wanted to create chaos and wage war against Kuki by intruding inside the territory of Kuki, and by attracting the empathy and winning the support from other communities/ Government in religious name.

Before Meitei could speak about religion, they ought to remember how, Meiteis have destroyed many churches in Imphal areas, and churches in hill areas bordering with valley areas.

They should be ashamed to hide their faces in bringing up religious matters to suit their sinister desire.

Thangting and Koubru belong to Kuki ancestral lands. Meitei may have the right to pray in our land, with the permission of Kukis. But, since the 3rd May, 2023, the clandestine and malicious attitude of Meiteis are clearly visible by starting ethnic cleaning campaign against Kuki.

Hence, any Meiteis are strictly prohibited to enter in Kuki inhabited areas. Meiteis can offer prayers in other parts of the Country.

We are deeply grateful to @India_NHRC for prompt attention to our complaint, which was recently forwarded to the Chief Secretary Govt.of Manipur. However, we would like to bring to the notice of @India_NHRC a critical inaccuracy in your letter, specifically in Paragraph 3, where the Meitei community is incorrectly referred to as "Tribal." This is factually incorrect, as the Meitei community falls under the General Category, whereas the Kuki-Zo community is a recognized tribal minority.
The ongoing violence in Manipur is, in fact, a disturbing case of ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the majority Meitei community against the minority Kuki-Zo tribal community. In light of this, we respectfully request that your office issue a corrigendum to rectify this error and clarify the situation.

Never in the history of India have two communities been as geographically and socially divided as the #Meitei and #Kuki in Manipur, says Nalini Sharma @IndiaToday

While the majority Meitei community does not want to acknowledge the existence of a "Buffer Zone" in Manipur, the national news channel recognizes it.

On paper, the Central Government @HMOIndia has opened up the Buffer Zone by announcing "Free Movement," but the ground reality is different.

A recent visit by a team of Supreme Court judges @SCJudgments to Manipur highlighted this deep division, as one Meitei Supreme Court judge was unable to visit the Kuki-dominated hill areas.

Is President’s Rule just a shield for Meiteis? Why do central forces treat tribals like targets? Over 250 dead by state hands how many more will central forces butcher?

No Meitei has been shot by them in this entire Manipur mess, yet Kuki tribals drop like flies. So much for "neutrality." and "peace-keeping force”

- May 5: Nurse Nianghoihching Simte gunned down by security forces during Churachandpur protest.

- June 6: Meiteis, backed by AR Casper vehicles, torched Kuki village Sugnu.

- June 10: IRB-uniformed men stormed Khoken Kuki-Zo village, slaughtering Dimkhohoi (65), Khaijamang Guite (52), and Jangpao Touthang (40).

- Feb 16, 2024: Security forces shot dead Thanggunlen Haokip (15) and Letlalkjuol Gangte (29) at Churachandpur protest.

- April 13, 2024: Forces with UNLF militants fired on hills, killed Kamlensat Lunkim and Kamminlal Lupheng, then desecrated their bodies.

- Sept 8, 2024: CRPF 36 Bn watched as Thangbuh Kuki village burned.

- Nov 11, 2024: CRPF lured 11 Kuki men in Jiribam to a fake meeting and executed them.

- Dec 31, 2024: CRPF battered 40 Saibol Kuki women, leaving one blind in an eye.

March 8, 2025: Post-PR, security forces stormed in with state vehicles, gunning down Lalgouthang to "force peace."

The carnage continues.
