I've exited from tech and am doing guided tours in and around Yellowstone.

Thanks to everyone for some great years! This will be my last post here. 🐬
Elon banned journalist Dell Cameron over this perfectly reasonable reporting. Free speech? I don’t think so. If you’re still active on Twitter, WHY are you still active on Twitter?

This is a great illustration of why I’m not active here anymore. I encourage you to come join me on Mastodon, rather than staying on a platform ruined by a self-obsessed man-child.

Dear @elonmusk
I would like to report @Telsa for this clear violation of Twitter rules.
These rules are very important and made by you, our benevolent leader.
I trust you will be suspending this account shortly.
All the best.

Elon Musk is now saying that only Twitter blue subscribers should be able to vote on polls affecting Twitter policies.
He promised us free speech, but he is giving us poll taxes.
Elon Musk plans to restrict policy polls to paying Twitter Blue users. The billionaire’s announcement came on the same day that users voted decisively in a poll for him to step down as chief executive of the social media platform https://t.co/QpyzmEngPI
Folks, the time to run https://t.co/ImNeaysyah or https://t.co/XuRKv7koAA is now.
You don't need to have an account elsewhere yet. Download the CSVs while you can, and you can import them later.
go go go go
All the most dangerous and hateful right-wing extremists on Twitter have their Gab, Gettr, and Parler accounts linked in their bios.
Notice how those social media sites are not included in #QElon's banned list?
If anyone is looking for advice on how to join Mastodon, don’t be afraid to ask. That’s one thing I’ll be glad to discuss here. My DMs are open if you have any reason not to ask publicly.
FYI, all I’m going to be doing here anymore is tweeting reasons you should leave Twitter. I’m spending most of my time over on Mastodon these days.

(Breaking the link because Twitter is marking Mastodon links as “harmful.” 🤨)
Is there any doubt that Elmo is the weakest, most thin-skinned excuse for a man? Banning journalists who criticize his policies, identifying a competing social network as “malware,” etc? “Free speech” my ass…
Let this sink in: @elonmusk hath decreed that all links to Mastodon should be flagged as malware. This is, of course, a baldfaced lie, and he knows it. So the CEO of Twitter is lying to everyone on Twitter, and to all its advertisers, even to all of his defenders.
@noarfromspace@patrickwardle That would be good, but if customers are potentially missing important notifications right now, we can’t wait for a request that we’d have no way to know if/when Apple would implement. We’ll have to implement something of our own ASAP.
@noarfromspace@patrickwardle It’s just generally going to be a pain in the neck, and require developer time that could have been put into something else, and not for a reason I understand. Yet apparently websites can send notifications now without an indication that it’s coming from a website. 🤷♂️
