@molineuxmusings Proper implies correct though and I don't think there is a proven correct model. Forest are under the same thumb as us and have had a great season. Our best years came under Jorge. That's all I'm saying. It seems like we've moved away in recent years and not been any better.
@bryan_johnson Hi Bryan. What is your opinion on distance running? Exercise benefits of running are clear but when you get to half marathons, marathons and longer distances, does it impact longevity?
@FitFounder Would you not do it because you don't have the desire to do it or because on balance you think it's damaging to overall health and longevity? Interested in your insight as someone who runs as a way of life.
@MrRyanLeister Not sure about that one myself. 5 years for a guy currently out with his second serious injury. There were positives in his performances but he's still very rash in some of his decisions and needs to show he has the discipline to be consistent in the Prem. Hope he delivers.
@molineuxmusings We did a job. At the start of the season I'm not sure we were capable of avoiding calamity, even in a gimme game.
Just my opinion but the spine of the team - Sa, Toti, Agbadou, Andre, Gomes and Larsen - is what we should build around. New attackers and full backs please.
@SteveMadeley78 Yeah, he's got a decision to make there with Bellegarde. Harsh to leave him out after Villa and hard to leave JoΓ£o Gomes on the sidelines at any point. Curious to get a look at Munetsi in a PL game though and what we look like with more physicality in the middle of the pitch.
@molineuxmusings There were some signs in the back end of the relegation season he was finding the level. But really was never the same player after those injuries during and after promotion. Lost some explosiveness. A superb player in his pomp - tenacious, fast and loads of end product.
Fair enough I reckon. He was wrong to report that if it wasn't correct. But he's held his hand up, apologised, so move on.
And also, fuck it. Cunha's body language on the pitch was terrible and we've been on this merry-go-round so many times, we all know how it goes.
He'll disappear like a puff of smoke at some point in the coming days, weeks and months and we'll be left to suffer the destruction. So get off the local journo's back on this one I say.
@brimfieldben@NickyAACampbell We were talking with Matilda about 'transitional dogs' the other day - the dog you get when your existing dog is reaching the end to ease the pain when that day eventually arrives - it does ease the pain a bit and as they overlap you feel less guilty about moving on. Cynical?
@dbutleranalysis Don't you think part of the problem with this team is that we've not prioritised physicality? It seems like the recruitment team only consider technical players and as a consequence the squad is populated with skilful but physically and mentally weak individuals.
@molineuxmusings Apart from giving the ball away in the build up to their first goal. Dwelling on the ball and losing possession in those deep areas is damaging. I think he can use his undoubted ability in possession with more intelligence and greater judgment. Flawed genius.
@Russ_Goldman Fulham fans will see this as a disaster given our league position but my feeling is we have comparable quality with most of the teams outside of the top 7 or 8 and have simply underperformed. We've scored 20 goals, which is a lot for a team at the bottom so threat has been there.
@Russ_Goldman Funny game Russ. I thought Fulham would run away with it after going ahead. We were all over the place defensively, but there was good energy in the side and the quality of Cunha turned it around. From there, I think Marco has to take a lot of the blame for those 5 early subs.
