@newscientist Inherent problem to all of these studies - those who are inclined to consume sweeteners may be doing so because they are obese, have heart disease etc. these are confounding variables. Also, one control group in mice should not be saline but sugar!

@MLBStats Need a stat on teams whose pitcher takes a no hitter into 8th or more, only to see team lose game anyway. Not a betting man, but my gut tells me that the @Mets hold the all time record. I think I have seen this at least 4 times in my life time. Terrible feeling as a fan
