Tätäkin varmasti joku sankari perustelee rahasumman "pienuudella" (150 000€), mutta jos tällaisia projekteja pukkaa oikealta, vasemmalta sekä keskeltä, niin lopulta löydät itsesi vuonna 2026 250 miljardin euron julkisen velkataakan alta.

Kaikki julkisen toissijaiset menot tulee lakkauttaa.

Having even a vague grasp and experience of that entire skill stack Satya describes is at least 5 years of fullstack engineering in direct client/po contact.

Satya Nadella says LinkedIn merged four job titles, product manager, designer, front-end engineer and back-end engineer, into one:

"I'll give you at LinkedIn, we used to have product managers, we had designers, we had front-end engineers, and then we had back-end engineers and so on."

"So what we did is we sort of took those first four roles and combined them. In fact, increased scope and said, they're all full-stack builders."

"So at the same time, as you can imagine, if we're to build an AI product today, there's a complete new workflow, right? It starts with evals, right?"

"So basically, there's this eval to science, to infrastructure."

"And so evals are done by these full-stack builders and what have you and product managers in the new form, the infrastructure is built by the systems engineers at the back-end because they support the science that supports the product."

"So in some sense, there's a new loop and you have to structurally change."

LinkedIn has already put this into hiring. Its Associate Product Manager program is finished, and the replacement, the Associate Product Builder track, teaches code, design and product management at the same time.

Evals sit at the front of that workflow rather than the end, so writing them is now part of building the product instead of a check before shipping.

🦔SAP just froze most hiring and travel companywide, with one exception. Anything AI-related still gets funded. According to an internal email obtained by 404 Media, AI hires and AI travel continue while everything else stops. SAP told staff that token costs keep climbing as more AI features go live, so the company has to protect that spending and cut elsewhere. This is one of the biggest software companies on earth choosing AI over its own workforce budget.

My Take
Look at what SAP chose to protect. They grounded their salespeople and froze hiring, but AI spending stays untouched. A company that will stop flying its revenue team to customers before it trims a single AI dollar is a company running on panic. If the AI spend were paying for itself, SAP would fund it out of the returns instead of gutting travel and headcount to cover it.

No enterprise has shown AI pays for itself at current token costs. SAP spends anyway, not because the numbers work but because it fears a competitor gets there first. That same fear drives the data center debt and the hundreds of billions in capex across the industry. I don't trust a spending wave that runs on fear of falling behind rather than proof that the product earns its keep.

Instead, it should go towards building "cooler stuff" at Meta.
