@GillnetJimmy@texasrunnerDFW@unusual_whales Carta makes it pretty easy for companies to get a valuation to compensate employees with equity even if they haven’t gone public.
@andrewstreeter_ @jalons_son @PeteThamel He apologized for it so obviously he could have presented it more considerate of victims, but we’re lying to ourselves if we think it wasn’t being applauded when victims came forward at the time and for good reason. I don’t view that as a reason to condemn.
@fullerchandler@PeteThamel Sounds good man! You sound legit! Can you imagine how cool it would be when you check back if a man who lost his job has to uproot and move his family who have no ties to this? The players who had nothing to do with this get to waste a year of eligibility, other coaches lose…
@andrewstreeter_ @jalons_son @PeteThamel So I guess you can take that in any direction you want, but during that period is he wrong for saying what was happening? People were actively applauding anyone and everyone for coming forward with a SA claim? During that time several were proven to be false claims.
@jalons_son @andrewstreeter_@PeteThamel I get the vibe this is a situation where an AD is trying to get “her people” and looking for reasons to get rid of the previous regime. To me this is pretty heartless to the coaches, their families and the players. This move would’ve been made immediately if there were substance
@LwyrUp406 @CWilliamsNFL Man just when this guy should throw the shovel he just digs in deeper. I wonder if Chicago goes with Laiatu Latu at one since they “don’t have any good ones” on the edge.
@FlexOnThaDevil Not only will they struggle but we just burn through a 1st rd qb’s cheap years if they’re any good with this rebuild. No chance we’ll field a competitive team with the amount of dead money we eat the next couple of years.
@SayreBedinger What exactly is the dead money in total if they release him? On over the cap it shows 35,400,000 if he’s a post June 1st release. Is that total dead money and we’re off the hook or is that just for 2024 and then we owe $18,400,00 in 2025?
@nickwh23 @zachary_hair @Tjonesonthenba I mean they had lebron and still had to trade homegrown (highly drafted) assets to get where they are. The point is people are acting like it was robbery. If it turns into the 16th pick do we really care? If it’s higher there’s a good chance they tank to keep it.
@nickwh23 @zachary_hair @Tjonesonthenba Mavs didn’t decide to tank until the last 10 games of the season, and got where they needed to be. I think that’s the point though, if the lakers want it the protections make it possible for them to keep it.
