@ListerLawrence Don't you just want your commuter car to drive itself? That's the ultimate luxury, not a $30k leather interior or milled aluminium buttons. Fun cars for driving, but commuting FSD is the way to go. Pity you don't have approvals in UK yet
@wave83X@niccruzpatane Do you know how lidar works? It creates a point cloud, which is less information than a camera, not more. If your computer can understand real time video, then it's superior to the simple point cloud, which is essentially thousands of arbitrary laser distance measurements.
@techAU I thought they already released pricing? From memory it was $109k + onroads for the X3 5.0i which seems pretty reasonable, but I've also seen range test from Europe that show the WLTP range of the X3 is not accurate at all, and the real world range is about the same as a Model Y
@hamids The R2 doesn't have serious off-road capability, it's moderate at best. It doesn't have high ground clearance or adjustable suspension, and doesn't have a locking diff. It is not an R1.
@thomasdaligou@SawyerMerritt Legacy platform, just like the Taycan shares the same chassis as the Conti GT. Porsche deny it, but transmission tunnel says bullshit.
@CommBank there's a near naked man who is smoking and appears to have set up a bedroom in the foyer of the Glenferrie Rd, Malvern branch. Kind of hard to use the ATMs when it's in someone's bedroom.
@SawyerMerritt If Tesla made the S and X in RHD it would be a lot more than 1.8%. That being said, we've had enough hints that the Model X will be replaced with the the CyberSUV and the S with the Roadster.
@BenMcCombe@blowingtom2@broomstick33 It has nothing to do with safety standards, you can't buy them in Australia because they don't make them in right hand drive.
@OutofSpecDetail Isn't this normal operating procedure for a new pack? They put a very conservative curve on intially, then ramp it up via software update after looking at fleet data. I'm pretty sure this is what they did with the Cybertruck on launch. Is that correct @elonmusk ?
