@anglio Don't hate on an entire chain just because of how successful it was in attracting new users, no matter who those users were. High gas fees might keep the riffraff out in the short term, but insisting thats the only solution long term will hurt...
@anglio I would disagree. Yes there was a lot of rugs, same for BSC. I'd argue we more lot of this kind of activity on Solana and BSC last year was because of how frictionless the chain is with it's speed and gas. Detecting scams is one thing, but the network itself is truly next-gen...

Fighting the FUD:
@loganjastremski and I at @_Frictionless_ have created a handbook to fight the FUD Solana faces constantly. We disprove the 4 main critiques of the network:
1. Downtime
2. Centralization
3. Inflationary Tokenomics
4. FTX Involvement

@dystopiabreaker Static files load faster than a database or pre-processed site, but html is still a real bore to write manually and we still want all the same goodies that a preprocessor/task-runner/compiler can offer
MAJOR BLOCKCHAIN ACTIVE ADDRESSES
On January 1st of 2023, Solana saw an increase of active addresses while Ethereum, Polygon, Cardano and other blockchains experienced a slowdown.
This move is related to the recent move in $SOL, the Bonk craze and the NFT boom.
Some smart people tell me there is an earnest smart developer community in Solana, and now that the awful opportunistic money people have been washed out, the chain has a bright future.
Hard for me to tell from outside, but I hope the community gets its fair chance to thrive๐ฆพ๐ฆพ
