Musicians are often more effective at telling truth to power than journalists or experts. Like him or hate him, Teddy Afro deserves credit for his willingness and courage in saying through song what he sees as failures in Ethiopian politics. Listen!

I met and had discussions early this evening with @EUSR_Weber on a number of issues of concern for Tigray, Ethiopia and the region at large. It was a rather candid no-holds-barred conversation. I took the opportunity to express my concerns regarding the progress as well as impediments in the implementation of Pretoria, our refugees in Sudan, territories still occupied by non-ENDF forces including Eritrea, and more importantly the need to factor in the tenuous nature of Tigray’s direct representation in the federal arrangement in external initiatives to help in the recovery, reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Tigray and other regions. We both agreed on the need to continue to work closely with the federal government and the international community in coordinating our efforts to address challenges bedeviling the region.
Very engaging meeting with President @reda_getachew on the Tigray situation, the need for cooperation on developing solutions to allow for a sustained peace process, education and health service for the people to allow them to flourish again.
Happy international women’s day to all women. Happy March Eight to the Tigrayan woman in particular-the epitome as she is of fortitude, perseverance & of the un-breakable spirit of defiance & unshakable resolve against all forms of injustice. Tigray owes much to the hardy woman!
#Ethiopia: IDPs in #Tigray rally for repatriation, urging proper implementation of the #Pretoria agreement

Today, displaced individuals in Tigray voiced their discontent with the implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement through a substantial demonstration. The #IDPs, located in key urban centers such as Shire, Adigrat, and Aksum, urgently called for decisive measures to expedite their repatriation to hometowns currently under the influence of #Eritrean forces and #Amhara militias.
Tsegay Weldemelak, coordinator of the #Shire IDP camps, emphasized the critical situation, citing challenges like hunger and a lack of medical aid. He stated, "The gravity of the famine within IDP camps is beyond description. We implore the international community to address our distressing situation."
Chants echoing messages like "Cease illegal demographic alterations" and "Repatriate IDPs to their homes" resonated, emphasizing the need for prompt attention. Despite over a year passing since the Pretoria Peace Agreement, the reintegration of IDPs remains a multifaceted challenge. According to the #UN, over a million individuals remain internally displaced in Tigray.
Thank you so much @timnitGebru for raising to @RepMaxineWaters I hope we can all agree that having a press rep who encourages and engages in harassment of journalists and survivors of atrocities sends an utterly dismaying message.
#Eritrean|n troops loot livestock and kidnap people in Irob. Irob Anina has counted 56 disappearances from Irob and the next-door district of Golomkeda since the ceasefire. There are fears they have been forcibly recruited into Eritrea’s military. #Tigray https://t.co/LKT5pHXDcS
I am truly humbled to receive this Medal for Distinguished Health Worker of #Mongolia. I dedicate this honour to the thousands of health and care workers in 🇲🇳 and around the world. They are the lifeline of our health systems.
@RAbdiAnalyst I always thank the barve contribution of @RAbdiAnalyst . Stay blessed our big brother. I don't know if my words have enough strength to thank you.
Eritrean monstrous soldiers, which are in control of Ethiopia's security & political affairs, turned to bandit and burglary, after 4 years of pervasive barbaric acts on Ethiopian civilians. Stiller continued it’s heinous barbarism and looting after the cessation of hostilities.
Urgent!
A media outlet dubbed Ethio 360 is propagating a non-stop hate speech and genocidal campaign against Tigray tacitly saying “how come the Ethiopian federal government has stopped the war on Tigray without finishing the population in the region?”.

Major Akulok Teklu Abraha (52) and Lieutenant Colonel Kiros Gebreyohannes Gebru were #Tigrayan members of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF). Major Akulok served in a @UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan. (1/6)
