My family deeply affected...my grandmother died suddenly aged 44 in early 1950's. The farm was in her name and death taxes/probate took over a 1/4 of the farm.
People forget we've had death taxes post war and that generation said never again
@thechartist The learning and discovery part is what keeps us...but often lamented that the sector is hardly compensated tax wise for always having our arse in the breeze, compared to a "safe job"

A mate tells me he hears a lawn mower across the road in Copa Cabana, sees it's a commercial bloke and says "Can you do my lawns". The reply..."mate I only do NDIS, the standard rate is not worth my time". FFS, is this what Aust has come to?
