'Andor' creator Tony Gilroy's Peabody Awards Acceptance Speech:
“We spent six years contemplating a fascist takeover of a galaxy far, far away. Six years thinking about what happens to ordinary beings when an authoritarian, insane, unchecked regime comes into the deal, and the show is really kind of what we learned"
“If you’re not willing to fight for the things that you love, your family, community, your culture, your planet, your truth, freedom, there’s an asshole ready to come in and take it away. We learned that bravery and sacrifice and resistance comes in all shapes and sizes, and we learned that courage is contagious"
“There’s so much is happening, it’s a fire hose of crap that you just can’t get through. And here we are. There isn’t a new cycle that goes by right now that doesn’t contain a variety of outrages that in any other time in our history in America wouldn’t be grounds for treason"
“Please do not stop. Please do not turn out the lights until we can kill this nightmare… and fuck the Empire!”

The $MSTR mission creep I always said would come.
Even though Strategy doesn’t need the money, it is conditioning investors to believe that selling Bitcoin to fund dividends and yield is a normal part of the new Strategy playbook.
The result is a structure that normalizes Bitcoin distribution back into the market whenever cash flow is needed to support dividends and yield.
In effect, they’re building the infrastructure for short-term Bitcoin price management while training investors to view it as prudent capital allocation.
A gift to the Financial Industrial Complex.
Bitcoin was designed to separate money from the financial system.
The FIC wants Bitcoin integrated into the same system of custodians, leverage, yield products, and paper claims that dominate traditional finance.
Strategy accelerates that transition by making Bitcoin sales, dividend policies, and yield engineering part of the accepted model.
It is what it is.
Bitcoin can be used by anybody.
But Bitcoin in self-custody is the resistance.
In the long run, the FIC doesn’t want you to own Bitcoin. It wants to custody your Bitcoin, tokenize your Bitcoin, lend your Bitcoin, and issue paper claims against your Bitcoin.
The goal is simple: keep you a paper-Bitcoin slave while they accumulate the real asset instead of you.
Not your keys.
Not your Bitcoin.
This is just another example of the United Conservative Party trying to centralize control just like they did during the Jason Kenney era. If the nomination process is managed by the Premier's Office, we don't have democracy.
WARNING: Once your culture is gone, it's gone forever.
You must live it every day if you want to keep it.
We are forming an independent book club for the sole purpose of studying the great texts of Western Civilization — to study the ideas upon which the West was built.
If the schools and universities won't teach the Great Books of the West, we must do it ourselves. In dialogue with each other.
If you'd like to be part this, join our reading group. We tackle a new classic text every 4-6 weeks and meet biweekly via Zoom/S*bstack to discuss.
We're about to start Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics.
Western Civilization has given us the greatest texts ever written, but it takes effort to read them, and even more to read them well.
To support our efforts, please consider a paid subscription. It makes a HUGE difference to the time and resources we can dedicate to this project.
You'll get:
- Live book club discussions (biweekly)
- Access to our incredible community chat
- Essays to guide you through the Great Books
- All past recordings, essays, and podcasts
- Ability to vote on what we read next...

Welcome!
Therefore, we create a clearly executable plan that can be taken and run with by individuals all across the province. A decentralized plan that does not rely on ay one organization of leader, our mission is clear, but our path to get there must be articulated.
Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree went on CTV News yesterday to try and defend why Bill C-22 wants our metadata.
Instead of answering the question, he said that it could be worse, Australia keeps it for 2 years and we’re just asking for up to 1 year.
Not only is metadata not defined in bill c-22 or in the criminal code, but we should be grateful that they will only save our personal information for up to 1 year.
Here is what they don’t want you to know: THEY ALREADY HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA, but right now, they need a court order.
They want to be able to spy on every Canadian in the name of safety without a warrant
That’s the reality of Bill C-22.
Alberta just passed a law letting a peace officer walk onto your ranch. No warrant. No complaint. No suspicion you did anything wrong.
“Strong and Free” is bullshit.
Bill 22 is a complete violation of rights, similar to Bill C-22. Let’s see what it looks like. 🧵
💥BOMBSHELL: Human Rights Lawyer claims Canada’s RCMP has been operating at the direct behest of China and actively collaborating with the Chinese military for years.
Mark Carney’s secret MOU didn’t create the betrayal—it just made it legal.
In 1306, Robert the Bruce murdered a rival at a church altar, was crowned King of Scotland, and promptly lost everything.
The English crushed his army, captured his wife and daughters, and hung three of his brothers. Bruce fled into hiding, a fugitive king with no army, no allies, and no throne.
For months, he survived in caves and on remote islands, hunted by the most powerful military in Europe. But he refused to disappear. He came back with guerrilla raids, picking off English garrisons one by one. Eight years later, at Bannockburn, his 6,500 men faced 18,000 English soldiers, and destroyed them. Scotland won its independence.
Not because Bruce was unbeatable, but because he was impossible to finish.
According to @jkenney we all lose our passports in “Day 1” after an independence vote.
Funny that 2nd generation third worlders with 1 ancestor from Canada who’ve never been to Canada can have a Canadian Passport - but people born in Canada living in Alberta will lose theirs.
Is Kenney drinking again?
Avi Lewis: "The separation movement in Alberta has no point of comparison with the historic sovereignty movement in Quebec. This is a MAGA aligned, potentially funded, disruptive movement that has been really thrown into national prominence by Danielle Smith."
🇨🇦 Lead RCMP investigator torched a case for an affair
A senior Mountie ran an intimate relationship with a confidential informant, used that compromised source to launch a multi-agency investigation, then let a colleague swear warrant affidavits containing misleading information. That is not a minor ethics lapse. That is a police force rotting behind the federal brand management machine. The conduct board said the officer should be fired, as reported, because the affair risked the integrity of the investigation and dragged the justice system toward disrepute.
And notice the pattern Ottawa always sells: trust the institutions, trust the experts, trust the process. Meanwhile the public gets redactions, publication bans, anonymous ranks like Corporal X and the usual ritual of concern after the damage is done. Trudeau-era Canada perfected this model: maximum secrecy for the state, maximum lectures for citizens. The same establishment that demands censorship, surveillance powers and endless deference cannot keep its own national police from contaminating cases with bedroom politics and then laundering the fallout through bureaucracy.

Nobody goes to jail when a currency collapses. Nobody gets prosecuted for printing too much. Nobody gets charged for the savings it destroyed. The most devastating financial crimes in history are completely legal. They wrote the laws.
