@slooterman I attended the last half hour and from that experience, thought the organizers did a nice job bringing together points like voting access while also presenting to what seemed a very diverse disabled audience. (Wide spectrum of disabilities.) Happy to share more if interested.
Hey, @Apple, I will happily give you my movie theater money if you could swoop in and buy @SeattleCinerama. Your big movies deserve a big beautiful screen and reopening this historic theater could mean a prestige theater event for every film. (Plus the chocolate popcorn!)

I've lived in Seattle since 2001. Now when people move here, I recommend getting an air filter and if you can swing it, a portable AC. (Most homes/apartments don't have AC built in.) Big changes in the last 4 years related to Seattle climate.
2021 marks 10 years since the publication of the article “Collective Impact” in @SSIReview. In this new series “Collective Impact, 10 Years Later,” we share stories, case studies, and interviews about how the movement has evolved and what comes next. https://t.co/qCI4LaHzbV
Good piece about @FordFoundation's expansion to focus on disability. My only wish-- if the Foundation consistently shared salaries in all job postings and were open/intentional about remote work--two key factors for disability inclusion in the sector. https://t.co/PMO74Bj9oo
Hello, @theindicator. Good show on Friday (Great Hesitation) but was surprised that long covid/disability didn't factor in. https://t.co/urqz89KjLC Disability advocates have been talking about the intersection of "long covid"/jobs for over a year as one more of the reasons...
Special shout-out to @KAreports for the anime corner of yesterday's @Marketplace Make Me Smart. That was a total delight for this anime fan.
Side-question- @KAreports have you seen Natsume's Book of Friends? If anyone needs a soothing pandemic watch - I highly recommend.
@FordFoundation For many disabled folks, working in an office 5 days a week, commuting to work, or being expected to work in high-cost areas (eg NYC) are major barriers to employment. Designing a program, including how one hires, that considers that can be super helpful to reach equity goals
@FordFoundation Also, if the goal is to take a leading role in disability grantmaking, leading by example and allowing a candidate to work up to 100% remotely can really open up your candidate pool to wonderful leaders who may find office commuting a challenge (even post-covid.)
@Hewlett_Found@Philanthropy Any chance @Philanthropy can switch out the art on this one? A young woman knitting brings up an unhelpful bias, which may distract from the core message. (Young women, especially those creating textiles, are not creating or fueling the "bomb" of climate change.)
