I wish more US kids just went outside and kicked a ball around more. That was where I got all my confidence with a ball. Round the words, neck catches etc. That's where the game develops. #soccer#mls
@PicklesJacob That’s interesting. I’m trying to find ways to get my team to be more creative - it’s not always easy. Did most of them just have natural talent?
@kieronbutton17 Although I think 40 mins is too long, I don’t see anything wrong with passing and dribbling drills. I can tell a lot about a player from this. Personally, I think the whole tryout procedure is a mess.
@MyFootballCoach what are you seeing the best individual drills are for 11 year olds? Here in the US kids don’t go out and kick a a ball around everyday like I did growing up in the UK, so I built an app to help them get outside and compete with friends so looking for ideas.
How many more top diminutive players like Bernado Silva or Luca Modric would the game be deprived of potentially in the future❓
Height is only one surface value metric, and actually being slightly smaller assists in playing the style of football that truly great teams and great players play 🙌🔥
When you play a game based on creative Intelligence, Exceptional technique, dynamic interchanging movement, like Rabbits, Squirrels and ‘foxes in both boxes’, running rings around Giraffes, Rhinos and bears…. paints quite a picture right? 🤷♂️ I may have a bias, but all size players can play good football, but what profile can play like Messi, Bernado, Modric, Xavi Iniesta, Pedri, Neves, Vitinha et al? 🤔 Its a blessing, not a curse, maximise who and what you are 💪🏼🙌
Listen to 6ft 2 Carrick explain how prime Barca Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were so hard to contain 🤔🔥
@KAssigbe 100%. We live in a different world to when we were kids. I got my son going outside kicking a ball around more by making an app to see how many touches he can do a day. Other boys on the team wanted to do it so it became a competition.
@sarah_edo@Clara_Gold Yes, I spent a few weeks there a long time ago coaching techies kid’s soccer. To me it felt need away from tech. Beautiful scenery, friendly people. I liked it a lot.
Joined 6 Android testing groups just to get 12 strangers to open my app for 14 days.
Apple gets all the hate but I was live on the App Store in 3 days.
The Play Store said "build a community first"
