@beyondreasdoubt "I like to believe one of the reasons I have a little bit of a following is because Iโm not a cultist and call balls and strikes as I see them." - It is why I follow you.
@DrEenfeldt I don't think there is one best place. If I were asked I would say @joinHava, join @Cronometer, join Consumer Labs, and recommend getting a glucometer and use them religiously. I would tell them to pick their favorite fruits, veggies, lean protein and then track and adjust.
@mindmusclepro I switched to @Zevia. Minimal ingredients, 0 calories, and sweetened with the natural sweetener Stevia. Lots of different flavors that are great. My favorite is creamy root beer.
@Zevia And, while all flavors are terrific, creamy rootbeer is out of this world terrific! Glad you're sticking with a healthy, diabetic and health friendly sweetener. ๐
๐จ Itโs your last chance to stock the fridge with zero sugar goodness! Zeviaโs Prime Day deals = up to 30% off soda, tea & energy drinks.

@AKoutnik I use a glucometer 3 times a day. The only time I get anxious about a reading is when I know I ate something bad or am testing new foods. I have got to say that when it reads right (most of the time now) it's rush to see the progress I've made. Couldn't have done it without one.
@DGlaucomflecken You can't help those who won't help themselves. The onus isn't entirely on the doctor. The patient owns it first and if they are not vested in making changes themselves, pharmacological remedies are the final answer (including for those who do take steps but it's not enough).
@mindmusclepro Bad option always. Increased calories increase weight (fat) which in turn increases insulin resistance. At least that's how I understand it. Moderate carbs, moderate fat, higher protein or even lower carbs than fat but never "no carbs" for me. I'm losing weight and glucose spikes
Thanks!! ๐๐ผ๐โจ
I am definitely not a serving size expert, so I donโt really include any of those in my recipes, sorry about that. Seems highly variable!
Hereโs the recipe, from page 508 of https://t.co/Q3A087X2Ww โ it uses 2 pounds of ground beef, so I really have no clue but I would guess this would be 6-8 servings for mere mortals โ and like one serving for @SBakerMD ? ๐
