@Richard99361128@1886RedArmy@fiona_hanc80490@Telegraph In a lot of places in the UK 130k mortgage wouldn’t get you anything unfortunately. Don’t get me wrong I bought a 3 bedroom ex council house 20 years ago for 85k so where I live it’s entirely doable… but not everywhere
@puckandtitania@danwootton@ZelenskyyUa His country was invaded by Russia which the USA seems to have no problem with for some reason. Yet Europe is expected to support the USA (and its increasingly insane and inept president) in attacking Iran.. why this specific “brutal regime” ?
Make war crimes make sense
@np_connor@JeremyVineOn5 I just heard her say “can you let me speak?” despite the fact she has talked over the top of every person on the show. It’s unwatchable.
@surreykiwi@fionagoddarduk@CL9268 As Fiona has said the 2 child limit never applied to Child Benefit. Someone with 6 children could always get Child Benefit for all 6.
@tompfoster@MSH446@Frances_Coppola And who will do all of the work currently carried out by DWP, Home Office, HMRC, Ministry of Justice etc etc? Do you seriously think the country would continue to function without any of those people? You said they could claim benefits… how if there is no benefit system?
@tompfoster@MSH446@Frances_Coppola How does making thousands and thousands of taxpayers redundant help with anything? Nobody will be getting a state pension if there’s no one to administer it.
@HaydenHewitt I don’t mind paying for the vet’s time and the treatment they do but I paid £50 for some eye drops. My sister (who is a nurse) picked up the prescription for me and said “do you know these are just human conjunctivitis drops that you can get in Boots for about £8?”
@josephpoots@doreentony@JeremyVineOn5 And? Isn’t that what retirement is for? You work hard all your working life, save up for your retirement and then enjoy it while you can. Whether they get a winter fuel payment or not I certainly don’t begrudge people getting to enjoy their life.
@WesWords55@fizzychicken@MartinSLewis Ninja recently started doing a dual drawer air fryer that is stacked on top of each other. My sister got one for Christmas as it takes up less space than the side by side drawer ones. And you can totally do crumpets in them 😀
@dugraha@nuasafc@sharrond62 I don’t think a lot of people get that. Generally people can’t get away with sitting doing nothing at home and if they can then it’ll be no different in the office! The shit people need to be managed properly.
@battyberd@lucyfrancis_tri@sharrond62 People can generally choose to go in the office if they want to. Some people I know prefer to go in five days a week as like being around other people. For most people it’s finding a good (and productive) balance.
@ClaudLevante@FlowerP79667758@sharrond62 They must think that you still put in a full day’s shift WFH whereas public sector workers sit doing nothing all day. Obviously the public sector must have no way of monitoring performance when people are WFH and can only check this from an office 🙄
@adamdkent@toadmeister Why would Toby need to ask for them when it sounds like you already have them?
I go in the office 3 days and I do both a Monday and a Friday. The traffic is quieter so I lose less time commuting. You do know that people actually work from home and this verifiable by managers??
@ttb_backagain@jfoster2019@toadmeister HMRC did that a few years ago with a company called Concentrix - google how well that went - plot spoiler… it was a fiasco.
