It depends.

1. If you are a strong candidate, company may negotiate with you.

2. Some companies have tight budgets, so they use salary expectation to filter candidates.

However, some recruiters will proceed with the interview and check your flexibility.

If as a candidate I mentioned a salary that is above the range the recruiter intended to pay ,am I automatically disqualified? Especially in those job that asked for minimum expectation during application process online
