We live here exactly as you see in the picture: in worn-out tents packed together under the scorching sun, turned into real ovens hiding beneath a layer of white. There is no access to water, no services, no comfort, and almost nothing that reminds us that we are even alive in this world.

I often ask myself, Why does the world accept this massacre and do nothing?

I have tried for so long to find an answer, and I have found only one truth that hurts more than anything, perhaps it is because our identity cards say “Palestine”. That single word seems to be the accusation for which we are being punished.

We didn’t choose where we would be born. This land was inherited from our Palestinian ancestors, and from their ancestors before them, for thousands of years. We were born here because this is where we found our fathers and grandfathers, not because we chose to be Palestinian. God also willed for us to be born here and to inherit this small piece of a vast land. And no one has the right to kill us or wipe us out simply because we were born on this land!

In the end, we are not asking the world to choose between us and anyone else, we are simply asking it to choose between life and death, between seeing a human being beneath this tent and turning its face away.
We are Palestinians, yes, but before we are Palestinians, we are human beings. We have names, faces, dreams, and children waiting for a tomorrow that resembles life. All we want is to live, not to die because our identity card says that the name of our homeland is Palestine.

I am writing these words to you from inside Gaza City, and I say this with complete honesty: the situation has become extremely dangerous, perhaps worse than ever before.

Temperatures continue to rise, and the tents have turned into real ovens. More than 170,000 tents across Gaza City are sheltering thousands of families in conditions that are impossible to describe. Inside these tents, temperatures exceed 50°C (122°F). There is no electricity, no fans, no air conditioning, and none of the basic necessities needed to survive.

The tents are packed tightly together, with almost no space between them. Many families are forced to leave their tents and sit in the streets because remaining inside has become unbearable.

Water is desperately scarce, and the extreme heat is making thirst even more severe. And this is only the beginning of summer. Every day, I see the effects of the intense heat on children’s bodies heat rashes, exhaustion, and suffering while insects emerging from the ground make life even harder.

The coming days could be even more devastating if these conditions continue. The tents are no longer places of shelter; they have become another source of danger.

Please don’t let these families be forgotten. Speak about them. Write about them. Share their stories with others. Keep their voices alive and let the world know what is happening. Behind every tent is a family struggling to survive.

They need to be seen, they need to be heard, and they need your solidarity.

Trump did not come from nowhere.

This is the thing his opponents cannot accept because accepting it would implicate them.

He came from the same country that built the myth.

The same country that made "American greatness" into a theological proposition rather than a political claim.

The same country that taught its children they were exceptional by nature, chosen by history, owed deference by the world as a simple matter of cosmic order.

He did not invent that belief.

He inherited it. He mainlined it.

He stripped away the tasteful, diplomatic, NPR-voiced packaging that his predecessors used to deliver the same message: that American power is its own justification.

And he said it in the accent of the country club bathroom and the construction site and the cable news green room.

He said the quiet part loud.

And the people who hate him most are largely furious not that he is wrong, but that he is loud.

That he removed the aesthetic buffer between American power and American arrogance that made the rest of the world bearable to deal with.

He didn't break the mask.

He just stopped bothering to wear it.

And now everyone has to look at the face.

Only a few days separate Gaza City from complete collapse. What remains of life here is falling apart before the eyes of the world.

Desalination plants have stopped, and bakeries, factories, power generators, and vehicles are shutting down one after another due to the lack of fuel and oil. Within days, ambulances and hospital services may completely stop.

In hospitals, injured people and patients are dying because of the lack of medicine, medical equipment, and the resources needed to save their lives. There are no sufficient medical supplies, no prosthetic limbs for those who have lost their limbs, and no wheelchairs for the injured and people with disabilities.

Most essential materials are being prevented from entering. There is no wood, no iron, no cement, and no materials to rebuild what has been destroyed. Even caravans and shelter units are not allowed to enter.

Waste is piling up, and there is no ability to remove or manage it, increasing the spread of diseases and making life more unbearable day after day.

The economy is collapsing, unemployment is rising at an alarming rate, aid is decreasing, and thousands of families are struggling just to obtain the most basic necessities of life.

An entire city is being brought to a standstill before the eyes of the world.

What is the world waiting for before it acts?

If the world can see an entire city collapsing, injured people dying in hospitals, and people losing the most basic necessities of life… when will it finally move?

GAZA: THE SUFFERING CONTINUES

Today in Gaza, most of the TV cameras are gone and media interest has declined. But, more than nine months after the announcement of a supposed “ceasefire”, the suffering of the Palestinian people continues.

Today, 92% of housing units in Gaza are damaged or destroyed, 70% of the entire population lacks adequate housing and is forced to live in makeshift shelters, 86% of agricultural water wells have been damaged, the vast majority of households report significant challenges in accessing safe and clean sanitation facilities and 90% of all energy infrastructure has been destroyed.

And what about the children? Today in Gaza, 91% of school-aged children do not have sustained access to in-person education, 93% of school buildings will require full reconstruction or major rehabilitation to be functional again and 70% of infants and young children under two years of age are experiencing moderate to severe food insecurity.

All of this is taking place after the horrific destruction that Netanyahu’s extremist government brought to Gaza over the last three years: more than 73,000 Palestinians killed and 173,000 wounded — mostly women, children and the elderly. In addition, virtually the entire infrastructure of Gaza was destroyed.

Israel now controls an estimated 70% of Gaza, well beyond what they agreed to, and has built dozens of military outposts inside Gaza since the “ceasefire” began. In the nine months since the “ceasefire” was announced, Israel has killed at least 1,150 Palestinians, including a family of six last week.

Now, as if to remove any doubt about their intentions, senior leaders of the Netanyahu government are moving to make the occupation permanent. Recently, a number of government ministers led thousands of settlers to the Gaza border demanding new illegal Jewish settlements be built there. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stood up and said "Gaza is ours."

The shameful fact is that the United States is complicit in everything that is happening in Gaza. We have funneled tens of billions of dollars in military aid to an Israeli government that has consistently violated international law and whose leader is a war criminal.

The good news is that the American people are catching on. More and more Americans — Democrats, Republicans and independents — are demanding that we stop all military aid to Israel and use our considerable leverage to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Enough is enough! Congress must listen to the American people. NO MORE U.S. MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.

This morning, the army expanded its control and placed yellow concrete blocks around the last remaining part of my old neighborhood, which has now been completely destroyed.

Today, the last of my old memories came to an end. There is no home left, no street, not even a single corner that still carries a trace of my past.

1) they tied up the family and human rights activists (American and Portuguese)
2) they dragged the father in front of the family, pulled his pants down, and raped him in front of his family and the activists. then they doused him in water and beat him mercilessly.
3) they tore off women's headscarves, ripped their clothes, including young girls, and dragged them outside to be beaten again there.
4) one of the jew colonizers grabbed a 14 year old girl and slapped her over and over, while everyone was tied up, unable to help her. He threatened to take the girl to with him.
5) the jews then beat the 74 year old grandfather all over his body, and they threatened the family they would return, burn their home, rape everyone, and kill the children.

These demons have the full backing of the so called 'jewish state'.

This is Jewish supremacy. This is what every mainstream American Jewish organization supports, explicitly or tacitly. This is what the overwhelming of majority of American Jews support. It is what nearly all jewish Israelis support.

Normalize calling these parasites what they are.

Did you know that we allow child marriage in the US? We do, in 34 states, and as of the last figures available in 2021, four or five children were being married every day on average. I once met a Floridian married at 11 to her rapist. And California has no minimum age at all for marriage -- and when sensible Californians tried to ban child marriage last year, the effort was opposed by the state chapters of the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, on the basis of "child rights."
