When you view the tweet below by @signalapp on an iPhone, you'll see a card showing the Signal app with a button to install the app. If you tap on the button, a sheet is presented within the Twitter app showing more details about Signal. Even though the sheet is presented inside the Twitter app, it actually comes from the App Store. And while you're using Twitter, the App Store collects detailed analytics about every thing you do inside that sheet, associates the data with your identity, and sends it to Apple.
The App Store sheet is not restricted to Twitter, it can appear in other apps, specially in ads.
Here is a sample of the analytics sent through the App Store sheet. Note that the DSID, or iCloud ID, is in the data.
