So pumped to be in an anthology!! Thank you so much for choosing my piece. Also grateful to @ElectricLit for publishing me in the first place, and their committment to giving opportunities regardless of literary credentials.

@edgarrubengomez @CatapultStory took a break from today's todayness to read catapult and I'm so glad i did. loved your article, thank you. <3 hope you are taking care.
the medical establishment has a long history of screwing the hell up (to put it lightly) when it comes to caring for Black people. there's a chasm of trust we have to understand to chip away at.
I learned so much about this via @haw95 's Medical Apartheid. (best book of 2020!)
Let’s be honest.
Many Black person will refuse to take this COVID vaccine bc most of us don’t trust that white people or the government mean us any good.
And when that happens, know that the hesitance is not some baseless paranoia. It is completely rational.
Let me explain.
@haw95 Thank you so much for your incredible book. I read Medical Apartheid in a club with lots of healthcare folks and it's made a massive impact on us/our work. I can't imagine the effort it must've taken to write something of this caliber — I'm immensely grateful.
