Joaquin smiles perfectly.
You are in the hands of fucking professionals.
wait wait wait … i REALLY don’t like the way everyone is talking to MJ right now. it’s so condescending.
she has EVERY RIGHT to feel slighted about CT and trishelle voting her out. there’s no need to make her feel worse by acting like she’s being immature.

I'm having an interesting discussion about the new Dune Part 2 poster at IG. It's a nice poster, but Zendaya is in front of Timothée, and to me, that is like an invitation to lure more women to go see Dune 2. It is a known fact that when it comes to sci-fi films, the demographic for that genre is overwhelmingly male. I know some Timmy fans who have not seen Dune because they don't like sci-fi films. There are lots of women who love sci-fi, such as myself, but we're a minority.
In general, women need an emotional core in a film for them to be interested in it. Hence, the larger presence of Chani, played by Zendaya in the Dune films. Most women who aren't into sci-fi films will be more drawn to it if there is a love story arc, and, that's what Dune 2 will have.
I found this bit on a Google search: Women value human relationships as a central plot element (and in general) more than "dry" play-by-plays and conceptual plotlines. While there certainly is plenty of sci-fi nowadays that focuses on the human element, it still remains a bit more abstract and removed, at least at first blush.- Quora (2017)
The studio and producers of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy padded the female characters and did gender-switching in some key plots to lure more women to the theater. And it worked.
Denis has prepared us for this, that it's a love story in the theatrical adaptation, and I'm sure Dune 2 will still be an outstanding action-driven sci-fi epic.

Greta & Margot,
While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you.
You’re both so much more than Kenough.

genuinely made me feel ashamed. that shit shouldve been a cautionary tale on what happens when american lefties automatically defer to any minority with a grad degree who can write weepy poetry about microaggressions
